With more than 70 Mega Evolution Pokemon available in Pokemon Champions, alongside some slightly change mechanics and item availability, finding the right mega to fit into your specific team is actually easier than you might think thanks to the available variety. Here are some of the best Mega Evolution options in Champions.
Mega Charizard Y
Mega Charizard Y specifically is such a great Mega Evolution for most teams. It’s a strong Pokemon that fits so well in so many teams, and works well with some of the strongest Pokemon options you’ll see in Champions.
A double battle with Charizard and Garchomp or Incineroar puts your opponent in immediate danger. A Heat Wave and Solar Beam combo with an Incineroar next to Mega Charizard Y is an easy setup for victory. Do be careful of a Rock Slide most teams are running though.

Mega Hawlucha
A quick solution to most issues on the enemy team, Mega Hawlucha has the speed and strength to get a decent one-hit KO on several opposing Pokemon. A strong physical attacker, you’ve got options to strengthen your stats and deal good damage while surviving some decent hits.
It has great utility, and transferring Entrainment to a Pokemon with an OHKO move means wiping out the enemy immediately with an attack that never misses.
Mega Gengar
This Pokemon is a great setup option for so many double teams, and its so useful it’s hard to compare it to any other Mega Evolution. With tons of setup options and plenty of ways to lock down your opponent, and allow your other partner Pokemon to run away with the game.
He’s slightly less defensive than you’d probably like, with a lower health pool as well. Still, its utility and ability to lock down your opponent make Mega Gengar well worth the investment. Shadow Tag means your opponents can’t swap out, setting them up for some devastating moves from your side. With it’s high Attack stat, it’s great for dealing damage as well.
Mega Dragonite
Mega dragonite is great because, out of most of your Mega Evolutions, it’ll be the Pokemon that can survive the most out of every Pokemon in you party as a great bulky option. He can also deal a good amount of damage striaght out of training, making him strong and survivable.
Mega Dragonite is your best bet if you’re not sure what to put on your team, as it has a large variety of moves to try out. While they aren’t game changing, its survivability and strength make it a great option.
Mega Gardevoir
Any team can benefit from having a Fairy-type on their team with all the Dragon-type Pokemon you’ll find in ranked, and Mega Gardevoir with her Psychic/Fairy-typing is a good addition. Not only is it easily accessible because there are tons of ways to get Mega Gardevoir and its Mega Stone for free.
Give her Hyper Voice and Dazzling Gleam and follow up with something to support your team. You’re pretty set with whatever else you need after that, from a Trick Room setup to a glass cannon, you can use Mega Gardevoir in several ways.
Mega Lopunny
A very safe Mega choice, Mega Lopunny is a strong hitter than has decent type coverage for anything your other Pokemon might lack. With several physical moves that are tied to a type, you can hit an enemies weaknesses pretty hard.
While she’s not the strongest, she still has Scrappy as an ability, letting her take Normal and Fighting-type moves and hit Ghost-type Pokemon who are immune to this, opening up your possibilities against those Ghost-type staples that usually get away with skipping over Normal-type moves.
Mega Delphox
Winner of the first Pokemon Champions online tournament, Mega Delphox shows its true potential in Pokemon Champions. Another offensive powerhouse with good speed, Mega Delphox has a great set of options.
Resistant to Fairy-type moves, outspeeding some threats, and dealing damage with good offensive coverage, it’s a great Mega to have. With its Levitate ability, you can also add it to your team with an Earthquake user, a move you’re bound to encounter as you rank up.
Mega Froslass
Strong, fast, and deadly Mega Froslass has everything you can lok for in a partner Pokemon for double battles. With defensive capabilities like Aurora Veil, and a great way to setup snowy weather which increases its own defense, Mega Froslass has an arsenal of great moves that work so well in double battles. Blizzard with the ATK and Speed stat of Mega Froslass can be deadly.
Mega Floette
One of the most powerful Mega Evolution Pokemon you can have on your team, Mega Floette has some new trcisk up its sleeve. It boosts Fairy-type moves by 33 perceny with its Fairy Aura ability, making it perfect for double battles with a Fairy-type setup.
