Alchemy allows you to craft powerful items in Crimson Desert using a variety of different ingredients, using lots of different recipes. The majority of these recipes need to be found while exploring and completing missions. As you progress in the game, some recipes will become available to you per the main story, but there are others that you will need to hunt for.
As well as a complete list of all alchemy recipes and their locations in Crimson Desert, I’ve also included a short section on where to actually craft these recipes at a Cauldron, because I didn’t find one for ages.

Where And How To Craft Alchemy Recipes At A Cauldron In Crimson Desert
Before we dive into the recipes themselves, I thought I’d just quickly cover where you can find a Cauldron. I ran around for ages before I came across a Cauldron in the Shadow’s Whisper Cave north of Hernand City, just to the west of Three Saints’ Falls.
Once you’ve marked it down, it will appear on your map, and this isn’t too far from the city for repeat crafting.
After a while, I realised there’s also a Cauldron in Hernand.
All Alchemy Recipe Locations In Crimson Desert
Here is the location of each Alchemy Recipe in Crimson Desert, with details on where to find them and how to craft them.
Alchemy Formula: Haiden’s Lesser Exilir
Found in a house in Hernand, which you don’t need a key to enter.
Haiden’s Lesser Elixir is crafted in a Cauldron. You need:

2x Low-grade Container Alchemy Material
- This includes items like Rosemary, Green Sulphur Butterfly, etc.

1x Lesser Alchemy Support Material
- This includes items like Iron Ore, Stone, etc.
- 1x Empty Bottle
When used, Haiden’s Lesser Elixir provides four seconds of no Spirit Consumption.
Alchemy Formula: Palmar Pill
The alchemy recipe for the Palmar Pill is located in the Shadow’s Whisper Cave, north of Hernand. You can enter it through a very thin crack in the cliff face.
The Palmar Pill is crafted at a Cauldron. You will need:

15x Medicinal Herb
- This includes items like rosemary, cotton, etc.
- 2x Water
This pill basically works like a revival, allowing you to get back on your feet after getting knocked down, and replenishing a small bit of health.
Alchemy Formula: Platinum
The recipe for Platinum can be found in Scholastone. Go through the large door at the centre of the building, then go past where the reputation vendor is on your left, head up the stairs and loop back on yourself to pick up the recipe. It’s on a shelf.
You can craft Platinum at a Witch. You’ll need:
- 1x Gold Bar
- 4x Brimstone
- 3x Mercury
- 2x Holy Water
This is a rare ore – and expensive – though it can also be used for advanced alchemy.
Alchemy Formula: Astrid’s Lesser Elixir
The Astrid’s Lesser Elixir formula can be purchased from the Back Alley shop in Pailune, once you have completed a part of the main story mission.
You can craft Astrid’s Lesser Elixir at a Cauldron:
- 2x Low-grade Stamina alchemy material
- 1x Lesser alchemy support material
- 1x Empty bottle
When consumed, the Elixir provides four seconds of ignore stamina consumption.
Alchemy Formula: Meliara’s Lesser Elixir
The Alchemy Formula for Meliara’s Lesser Elixir is located in Mudridge Cabin, north of the Porrorin woods in Hernand. There is thick smoke across the swamp, so try to access the hut from above. To get into the room with the recipe formula, you need to complete a picture sliding puzzle. The recipe is in the corner of the room on top of some books.
To craft Meliara’s Lesser Elixir, you need:
- 2x Lesser health alchemy materials
- 1x Lesser alchemy support material
- 1x Empty Bottle
When consumed, this elixir increases your health by 75 and attack speed by 1. This lasts for five minutes.
