What to Watch on Disney+ and Hulu in April 2026

Disney+ and Hulu continue the process of becoming a single streaming service, with the standalone Hulu app being shut down later this year. Many movies and shows are now overlapping between both, but there are still some separations. April’s not fooling around, with a new Star Wars series, lots of new movies, and hot shows like American Idol and Daredevil. Here are our picks for the best of the month on Disney+ and Hulu.

Atomic (April 1, Hulu)

British TV series Atomic starts the month off on Hulu with a bang. Reviewers called the opening “the most hardcore 37 seconds of TV this year,” and it just gets wilder from there. When a drug cartel driver gets ambushed in the Sahara, he soon discovers that he’s caught up in a plan to smuggle radioactive materials for use in dirty bomb-making. Tons of action, intrigue, and great location work make this one a solid choice for an evening binge, as it’s only five episodes.

Star Wars: Maul: Shadow Lord (April 6, Disney+)

Ever wonder what Darth Maul got up to after the Clone Wars? One of the most visually distinctive characters from the prequels gets his own animated series this month on Disney+, and it looks pretty cool. With the Empire established, Maul has nothing to fight for, so he takes a post on the planet Janix to rebuild his personal power, as well as taking on an apprentice.

No Other Choice (April 24, Hulu)

Park Chan-Wook’s follow-up to Parasite once again tackles the meaning of work, this time adapting a novel by crime-fiction master Donald Westlake. When the paper company Man-su has worked for his whole life gets bought out, he finds himself unemployed and unable to support his family. When an interview goes awry, he hatches a plan to kill off all the other qualified candidates. It’s exceptionally bleak and funny.
