Vampire Survivors has a lot to answer for, inventing a whole new template for games to follow. One example is Warhammer Survivors, which is a particularly interesting case.
Just announced for PS5, Warhammer Survivors is developed by Auroch Digital, but also involved is Poncle, the team behind Vampire Survivors. This upcoming new game actually uses the exact same engine and tech as Poncle’s breakout hit, which is why it looks so dang similar:
Despite its similarities, Warhammer Survivors is its own game. Featuring Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar characters, this is a roguelite horde survival title in which you’ll avoid clusters of enemies, gradually increase your power, and level up your weapons and powers to an absurd degree.
The game also has several playable characters, including Chaplain Fo’Baran, Knight-Commander Pask, The Legend of Catachan, and plenty more.
If you’re a big fan of Vampire Survivors, Warhammer, or both, there’s a good chance this will be up your street.
There’s no release date in place yet, but it’s planned to launch later this year on PS5.
