Slot Cards, also called just Cards, are a simple but effective way of changing your runs in Raccoin. Before you start, you’ll have to select a Card that has one or two effects that drastically change how you play and what you need to plan for your future rounds.
There are quite a few Slot Cards in the game (13 to be precise), and after you unlock them all, it can get confusing which one you should play and with what character. Hopefully, this guide will give you a better idea of the best slot cards in Raccoin.
Refitted Card
Raccoin is a game of coins, of course, but we could argue that the Chips you select are as important, and sometimes they will make the difference. The Refitted Card will help you with this, because it lets you add one more Chip throughout your run.
Instead of the regular five slots, you’ll get six. If you have checked our tips for Endless Mode, you already know that we believe that the Score Rate you can reach is really important for the later stages, and Chips are what will help you increase your SR the most.
Knight Card
The Knight Card goes well with the Manager or the Trader, characters who use regular coins a lot, and have special coins that can increase their value significantly. With this Card, you’ll start each run with the BankBook and Desktop Vacuum, which will save your unused coins in your hands for your next run and give you an extra coin per ten scored, respectively.
The result, if you play your card and coins well (sorry), is that you’ll end up each round with many, many regular coins. For example, you’ll reach the latter half of the run with at least 100 coins. This is excellent for being able to throw many coins and control the round.
Wood Card
A simpler Slot Card than the previous one, the Wood Card will let you reroll for free twice in the shop. It works for your first rounds when you don’t have too many tickets, and you need to be precise with what you pick up and what you look for.
It also works for your later rounds when you have a build that benefits from purchasing as many special coins as possible — with this Card, you’ll avoid paying any tickets to re-stock the shop, so you’ll save to buy even more coins.
Sketch Card
Gadgets are a powerful Prize item in Raccoin. While you won’t see many of them in your early hours, you’ll get the chance to discover some strong ones down the road. For example, the Coin Stage, which lets you rain special coins if you pay the price. The Raccon Tower, which destroys Bad Coins and ignores the BadBad modifier.
And what about the classic UFO Caller, which lets you summon a UFO that can help you a lot with collecting coins? In a normal run, you would be able to grab one of these with luck, but Sketch Card lets you duplicate them as if it were nothing. A very strong card with the correct Gadget and build.
Royal Card
This is for the endgame, for when you’re already done with learning the game and you just want chaos. Going to the shop will become almost useless, because you’ll only be able to buy Clip Expansions. However, that’s all you’ll need: now the regular coins aren’t regular at all, they are just special coins.
Yes, your machine will be packed with one hundred (and more) special coins of different types — they will change depending on which character you’re using. Playing will become a test of being able to follow everything that is going on on your screen, and your runs won’t necessarily be easier, but you’ll have the best of times. We promise.
