Samsung Hikes Some Galaxy Z Fold 7 Prices, Now More for 1TB Version

Days after a price hike on various Motorola Moto G phones, Samsung has made a similar move, but for one of its most expensive devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is jumping up by $80 if you’re looking for more than the 256GB base storage model.

As spotted by 9to5Google, Samsung has quietly raised its online prices, with the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 7 moving from $2,419.99 to $2,499.99.

The 512GB model has also moved to a recommended price of $2,199.99, up from its launch price of $2,119.99. However, Samsung is currently running a sale on this model, bringing it down to $2,079.99, but it’s clear the standard price has changed, so it may soon cost more again.

The 256GB Galaxy Z Fold 7 has remained at $1,999.99. All three versions come with 12GB of RAM in the US.

Samsung has yet to officially comment on the price increase for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, instead quietly updating its own store. It’s likely that it has made this decision due to the global RAM and storage crisis, which has seen the prices of tech components skyrocket over the past year.

Many consumer tech gadgets have seen price hikes over recent months as the cost of RAM and storage has risen amid increased demand from AI-focused companies. Some analysts expect prices to remain high throughout 2027, while other suppliers suggest we may see the impact through until 2030.

These new prices also align with a recent leak about the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is likely to arrive in a few months’ time, with some speculating that Samsung will reveal it in July. Leaker TheGalox claimed to have heard the same pricing: the 256GB model is reportedly set to cost $1,999.99, while the other variants jump by $80 compared with the launch prices of the Z Fold 7.

Samsung has kept the price of its latest Galaxy Z TriFold firm at $2,899.99. The triple-folding smartphone was taken off sale last month, with the brand indicating it wouldn’t sell any more units in the US. Earlier this week, Samsung surprised fans by confirming it would have more stock today, April 10.
