With my Oshi no Ko tee and NewJeans backpack bling, I’m what’s commonly referred to as a “fashion disaster”. So you’d expect this new Zara crossbody bag to be something I would buy.
But I don’t think even I can pull this one off.
Available for $35.90/£19.99/€22.95, this new sling is styled like Sony’s legendary handheld console. It’s actually a lot better looking than the high street chain’s previous efforts, like the DualSense controller, but it’s still full-on nerd.
It’s got a transparent window you could populate with badges of your favourite waifu if you wanted to, but again, you’re going to need to be brave. Alternatively, you could put Toro Inoue plushies inside to prove you’re not a tourist.
I don’t really know who Zara’s targeting with this product, but I could totally see some young, hip influencers styling this flawlessly. I, unfortunately, am now too old.
It’s cool to see Sony continuing to team-up with retailers on retro accessories like this, though.
