Asobo Studio has resurfaced to confirm Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, its prequel to the two current A Plague Tale games, is still on course for a 2026 release.
The team shared in a blog post that the “release is almost here”, and in the next few months, it’ll be focusing on “testing, balancing, and refining the game mechanics to deliver an experience as challenging as it is unforgettable”. Resonance is set 15 years before Innocence and Requiem, and has you playing as Sophia, who first appeared in the second game.
As a 22-year-old, Sophia is shunned by her old mentor, so she “defies him in a perilous treasure hunt that will shape her forever”. You can watch the original announcement trailer from a year ago below:
