This week’s big reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced seems to have gone down exceptionally well with PS5 owners, as the most expensive version of the remake is already topping the pre-order charts.
In both the UK and the USA, the pricer Deluxe Edition is currently the “best-selling” pre-order on the PS Store. As the pre-order listings only went live two days ago, it’s impressive to see the remake charting so highly in such a quick fashion.
It is currently being pre-ordered more than 007 First Light, Saros, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Games that are just a handful of weeks from launch usually command the top spots on the pre-order charts, so to see the Black Flag remake outselling these titles when it’s still not due out until July is impressive.
In the UK, the Deluxe Edition is the PS Store’s best-selling pre-order, while the base version is third:
In the USA, the Deluxe Edition is in the same top spot, but Saros is doing better in the region so the base version is down in fourth:
It’s clear the PS5 community is willing to put its money where its mouth is when Ubisoft decides to bring back one of the Assassin’s Creed series’ best entries, with a release date set for 9th July 2026. You can read about the upgrades, changes, and updates in our deep dive article from the reveal.
If that Deluxe Edition takes your fancy, it bundles the base game with a Master Assassin Character Pack and a Master Assassin Naval Pack. The former contains an “Edward costume, sword, pistol, and trinket with unique perks” while the latter gives you a “sail set, ship’s pet, crew attire, wheel, figurehead, and hull trim”.
