Nintendo seemingly has big plans for the second half of 2026. A typically reliable insider when it comes to upcoming Nintendo plans has claimed that we’ll be getting a new Star Fox game as well as a remake of a major Zelda game before the end of the year, but those waiting on a new 3D Mario game are going to be disappointed.
The new information regarding what Nintendo is supposedly planning to reveal and release before the end of the year comes from reliable inside, Natethehate. Nate stated on his podcast that we’re getting our first new Star Fox game in ten years later this year, alongside a Zelda remake, and VGC has added that those claims line up with what it’s heard from its own sources.
Claims that we’re getting a new Star Fox game come hot off the heels of the character’s Super Mario Galaxy Movie reveal, which might explain why Nate has chosen now to drop this bombshell. There hasn’t been a new Star Fox game since the Wii U, but fans of the series have already been getting their hopes up that might change after seeing his Galaxy movie poster.
