ll Recipes And Skill Effects In Pokemon Pokopia

While playing Pokemon Pokopia, you’ll get requests from your Pokémon friends for specific flavored foods. You’ll probably be confused at first as to how to get them their favorite flavors. On top of that, you’ll eventually run into a situation where the skills you’ve currently obtained just won’t cut it for what you need to accomplish.

All of this is where cooking will come in handy. You’ll quickly learn that cooking specific recipes will increase the potency of your skills, allowing you to do even more with your skills than you could before. This unlocks more potential for new habitats and resources you couldn’t get before.

How To Unlock Cooking

The Time to Party quest begins in Pokemon Pokopia.

If you’re ready to start cooking, the first thing you’ll need to do is get to at least the great rank in your Pokedex, and you can open the gate to Rocky Ridges.

Rocky Ridges is the door to the west of Withered Wasteland, near where you helped out Onix.

Once in the Rocky Ridges, follow the main questline until you hear a mysterious Pokemon stuck in a barrel. You won’t be able to cut the chain from the barrel until you upgrade your Cut skill, and to do that, you’ll need to make special food.

This questline involves cooking, so as soon as you begin it, you’ll learn how to cook different meals and how to craft the cooking utensils needed for creating them. Just continue until you unlock Chef Dente, and you’ll be able to begin cooking in earnest.

Once you cook the meals available during the questline, you’ll learn how bringing Pokemon to help you cook and experimenting with new ingredient options can give you varying results with what you’re cooking.

All Bread Recipes

Bread recipes can be made using the bread oven you learn how to create during the questline. Place the bread oven and have a Pokemon light a fire for you, then you can cook using the item.

Bread recipes, when consumed, will increase your Cut ability, allowing you to cut through stronger surfaces. You’ll also be able to hold the button to charge up your cut to cut through grates and cut several items down at once.

This powered-up cut specialty is great for cutting down your vegetables when harvesting them for an easy way to quickly collect your harvest.

When making bread recipes, you can use Wheat, whatever the required second item is, and your third item can generally be anything else you want. You’ll still end up with the proper recipe. For this guide, we’ve just used wheat and whatever the required item is.

All Hamburger Recipes

Ditto and Scorbunny make a simple hamburger steak in Pokemon Pokopia.

Hamburgers can be made using the frying pan you gained during the Chef Dente questline. Place the frying pan over a flame, and you’ll be prompted to cook hamburgers.

Probably the most useful power-up from eating hamburger recipes will grant you an upgrade to your Rock Smash ability. This also equates to your graveler form that will receive the buff as well. You’ll be able to smash through tougher items and surfaces.

If you make one of the hamburgers or steaks, note how much they power up your ability. Certain steaks will read as powering up your skill ‘a lot’, granting you the ability to break through even more items than a regular hamburger would.

As with the other options, you only need beans and the other required item to create the desired hamburger steak. You can mix and match items when making them, as long as you have the two required ingredients. Be careful, though; adding certain items may change the recipe. We are sticking with beans and one other item.
