As of less than two hours ago when we publish this, Mina the Hollower is finished.
We need to be perfectly clear here: the GBC-style adventure game still doesn’t have a release date outside of a vague Spring 2026 window.
But according to Shovel Knight dev Yacht Club Games, the hotly anticipated indie game has now gone gold.
That’s industry lingo for meaning it’s finished, finito – which means it can’t be long until it launches.
Here’s what it wrote on social media:
“Mina the Hollower has officially gone gold! The game is complete and has begun the submissions process with our first-party partners. We’ll know the release date soon and as soon as we can share it, you’ll know it. Thank you for sticking with us. We can’t wait for you to play!”
This game did get a time-limited demo on PS5 earlier this year, which we’re sure many of you tried. That’s no longer available, but it seems you won’t have to wait long to play the final thing.
The title was first announced in 2022 and has taken longer than anticipated to be completed. Now, it seems, we’re finally on the cusp of its release.
