Increase your DEF while your action SPD is increased.

Reinforcement

Hold: Increases your action SPD for 20 seconds.

Gaia is meant to get up close and personal with the enemy team and even the boss monster, using abilities that aid her in dealing damage, speeding herself up, and increasing her defense.

You can easily catch enemy team members unaware with your increased DEF and SPD, tied into her already high ATK stat as a melee character. She’s great for front-line players who want to get into a battle but also be able to survive while dishing out large chunks of damage.

She debuffs enemies and buffs herself, giving you viable options for quickly taking out monsters and removing the enemy team from a fight completely.

Best Abilities For Gaia

Gaia's UR ability Diamond Destroyer in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy.

  • Best Main Abilities

    • Diamond Destroyer – Gaia leaps forward and attacks. This massively decreases the action SPD of enemies and greatly increases her own action SPD, raising her ATK.
    • Fated Moment – Gaia chooses an area and sets an attack that detonates after 8 seconds. Enemies in the area take severe damage as they’re launched into the air, and their action SPD is decreased.
    • Hopeful Dance – Gaia rushes forward and swings her weapon at an enemy. This works great as a gap closer.
    • Spell-in-Waiting – Gaia slows down enemies in front of her in a cone, greatly decreasing their action SPD for 5 seconds.
    • Heal – Any heal will do, just to keep Gaia up on her feet if you’re in the throes of the enemy team.
    • Any low cooldown ability (preferably a water element for the boost).
  • Best Support Abilities

    • Barrier – Provides a good chunk of HP.
    • Shell – Provides more ATK.
    • Any abilities that increase her ATK and HP will work here.
    • Gaia can increase her own SPD and Def.
    • Most help will come from ATK and HP abilities.

Diamond Duster and Fated Moment are exclusive to Gaia. If you plan on using her, you should reroll your ability choices until you get at least one of these options. If you only get one, replace the other with Heal or a low cooldown ability.

Your goal is to use your UR abilities to isolate an enemy team member, slow them with Spell-in-Waiting, rush in with Hopeful Dance, and follow up with Diamond Destroyer or Fated Moment.

They won’t be able to get out, and their SPD will be decreased, while you’ll be buffed if you use Diamond Disaster.

Your debuff on them, combined with your ATK, means you’ll be setting up for your party to take the enemy out one by one, then dishing damage on the boss with your acquired Bravery.

Best Party Compositions For Gaia

Two teams pitted against each other in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy.

While you can’t choose who you’re paired with, there are certain characters that’ll work better with Gaia than others. You have a few options, because she can cover ground herself, increase her own SPD and DEF, and set up the enemy team to be slow enough for her teammates to follow up.

    • Cloud Strife – Cloud, paired with Gaia, does ridiculous amounts of damage to anything in their path. His high ATK, paired with his ability to stun, leaves him and Gaia working together to incapacitate and destroy anything. He can also charge in with Gaia to close the distance and destroy an opponent.
    • Lightning – Lightning’s SPD makes her the perfect closer and a complement to the team. She can dash through and clean up any monsters left on the field, dealing extra damage to them. She also has a wide area of attack, dealing high damage with Thunderfall and rushing to a point for the team while the other two catch up.
    • Kain – Kain makes up for the AoE attacks Gaia lacks. He leaps and attacks wide range areas, able to take advantage of her Spell-in-Waiting or Fated Moment setup with massive AoE damage after jumping to the area before detonation.
    • Warrior of Light. Not only does her decrease damage taken while Gaia is tanking hits and dealing damage, but he can also increase the team’s ATK, allowing them to deal even more ridiculous follow-up damage from combos set. Supreme Soul also allows them to deal damage while creating combo setups.
