While playing Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, you’ll eventually come across Job Medals but these are very easily overlooked or forgotten about as they’re in the character menu rather than the abilities menu, where you go to build up the bulk of your chosen Final Fantasy fave.
These are a great way to give an extra edge to your favourite characters, but they’re a lot more fickle than when you get to pick and choose abilities. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get and use Job Medals in Dissidia Duellum.
How To Get Job Medals
There are two types of Job Medals: silver character specific Job Medals, and gold Shared Medals.
Silver Character Job Medals
Character specific Job Medals will have the character name listed (e.g Rinoa Job Medals) and can only be used on that character. They can be obtained in the following ways:
- If you receive a duplicate in a character draw (an exact duplicate, not an outfit alternative) you will receive ten Job Medals for that specific character.
- If you complete Challenges for a specific character, some of the rewards include their specific Job Medals.
Gold Shared Medals
These Job Medals can be used for any character, and can be obtained in the following ways:
How To Use Job Medals
In the Characters menu, you can navigate to the Job Medals tab and see which (if any) Job Medals you currently have equipped to your chosen character, and you can have three different loadouts of Job Medals per character.
Equipped Job Medal loadouts are not interchangeable between characters.
Job Medals give various buffs. For example, the two-star White Mage Job Medal gives the following: Increases recovery amount +2:00%.
Each Job Medal has a Sam Colour Bonus too, so if you have two out of three medals the same colour, they each get a +0.50% bonus to their stat. If all three medals match in colour, they get a +1.00% boost.
The tricky thing with Job Medals is that you’re dealing with lady luck as they are not a fixed item you will always own. You can choose to replace a Job Medal at any time, and it will consume one of your available medals, but there is no guarantee you will get a better one than what you already had equipped, and there is no way to go back to the medal you had before (unless you pull the same one later).
When you choose to change a Job Medal, the game will automatically use any character specific medals you have first.
