In taking a storybook visual style, Cinderia has quite a unique look, but it also takes plenty of fairytale inspirations in its boss fights, and then some creative liberties of its own
The incredibly long-winded High Sacrificer of the Darkhorn Clan, Kabraks the Soulrend is a large goat that feels at times reminiscent of Baphomet, and has the power to back it up.
Where Is High Sacrificer Of The Darkhorn Clan Fought?
Kabraks the Soulrend is the third boss of the game, and so is found in the third region, the Mines. This is after both the Ashen Adjudicator in the Town Ruins, and the Fairy Queen in the LIghtless Forest.
As usual, make sure you’re prepared going in. He’s very mobile, and has plenty of supplementary abilities that will require you to dash across the arena and deal high damage quickly.

High Sacrificer Of The Darkhorn Clan Moveset
The High Sacrificer is quite an interesting boss, as their moveset is dramatically different across phases. In the first phase, you have a whole arena in battle in, and a lot of tactical planning. In the second phase, it becomes closer to a boxing match that’s all about swift movements.
Phase One
In Phase One, the boss places totems around the entire arena while also chasing you around. It’s an inverse of the Fairy Queen, with you outrunning him to chase down the totems.
Here are all of his attacks:
|
Attack |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Chasing Strike |
The boss will actively seek you out, striking with their staff when they reach you. This attack can be held until they reach you, so don’t dodge until they actually reach you. |
|
Radial Slash |
The boss does a quick spin, hitting all around them with their staff. This can be performed by itself, but is most commonly performed after executing a Chasing Strike. |
|
Totem Summon |
The boss summons totems all around the arena. These have no effect by themselves, but do when the boss performs Totem Burst. These should be destroyed as soon as possible. |
|
Ground Burst |
The boss summons a red circle under you that follows you for a few seconds, then explodes. Running is enough to escape this. |
|
Totem Burst |
The boss will trigger a specific totem. It will flash red for a seconds before exploding, releasing a massive shockwave across the entire arena. Typically only one totem explodes at a time, though the boss can cause them to burst in quick succession, making dodging them all difficult. |
Phase Two
In the second phase, which is reached when the boss has around 30% HP remaining, they massively restrict the arena, but also their own moveset.

Totem Arena |
As the second phase begins, the boss summons a series of totems that form an arena in the centre of the room, locking you and him together. There is no way to escape this, and it remains until the end of the fight. |
|
Enemy Summon |
The boss summons a medium enemy to assist their in the Totem Arena. This enemy is weak, but can easily catch you off-guard. They should be defeated, though the boss can resummon them after a delay. |
|
Attack Combo |
The boss loses the Charging Strike and Radial Slash. Instead, they gain a combo string that has tem performing swings and slams, though these only attack in the direction the boss is facing. |
How To Beat High Sacrificer Of The Darkhorn Clan
In the first phase, you’ll want to spend half of the battle destroying the boss’s totems, and the other half getting in attacks on the boss. In general, you should prioritise the totems as Totem Burst is very powerful.
That said, the boss can resummon totems very quickly. If you see a totem with full HP glowing red, don’t attempt to destroy it. Get prepared to dodge it instead, and spend that time attacking the boss.
The Chasing Strike is one to be careful of. If you dodge too early, the boss will catch up with you and still hit you. And because of the Radial Slash, you’ll always want to dodge away from them, rather than into them.
When it comes to the second phase, it’s easy to get flustered, but remember that the boss’ moveset is also simplified. They can summon an enemy to help them, and they should be taken out immediately.
Backstabs become essential here as the boss moves quite slowly, with long recovery periods after attacks. Investing in Accessories that boost Critical Damage and other Backstab-boosting effects is great here.
And with them defeated, you’re free to move onto the next area.
