If you’re new to the world of free-to-play gacha games, then you may not know they’re on a strict update cycle.
What does that mean? Well, the day one offering is just the start – these games update every six weeks or so, adding new characters, quests, and activities over time.
So if you’re just wrapping up GTA-inspired open world NTE’s launch day slate, then you may be wondering what’s next? You’ll find out on 23rd May, during a Special Program.
This livestream will go over all of the new content you can expect to be added to the game in v1.1, which I understand to include the castle-like island you can see off to the distance in Heathereau.
New banners will be included featuring characters like Lacrimosa, while I think this update will see the addition of the game’s Porsche collaboration, so you can expect some content and quests around that.
Obviously I understand this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but these initial Special Programs should set the agenda for NTE’s first six months or so.
I personally hope the update includes some quality of life fixes on the PS5, because while I enjoy the game overall, it could do with a tidier control scheme that’s more consistent and feels a bit more responsive.
I’m also hopeful we get some better Events, because the current one involving companions isn’t really doing much for me. It’s ultimately still early days, so let’s wait and see.
I’ll be back with a full report once the Special Program has aired, but you can watch it live for yourself on YouTube this weekend.
