As it looks to the third and final chapter in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Hamaguchi promises the requirements for that title’s Platinum Trophy will be far more reasonable. Apparently, the last entry will have “an even more diverse world and game design that’s packed with a variety of content”.
However, the Trophy list has been balanced in a way to place “greater thought on whether earning them feels enjoyable in and of itself, or whether they restrict the breadth of the experience”, according to Hamaguchi, who laughs at the end of his response.
You can browse the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Trophy list on Exophase to get an idea of what he’s referring to. The toughest hurdle was the 7-Star Hotel Trophy, which basically requires you to 100% the game. Powerpyx estimates it takes 150-200 hours to do so.
