By now, you’re probably sick of hearing about all the cool things you can do in Crimson Desert. Cooking meat with the sun’s reflection on your sword, getting eaten by a giant whale, and finding gold bars early is great, but none of that helps when you’re stuck on a tough boss while also fighting the game’s confusing controls.
You really need to make sure Kliff and his weapons are leveled before going into a boss battle, as players have been having a hard time with them. However, it seems there’s a relatively easy way to beat most bosses, and it involves bonking them on the head with a tree. That’s right, not a weapon, a tree.
Trees Are Our Friends
By now, you’ve probably cut down a number of trees to get timber. However, that’s not their only use. Once you’ve unlocked enough of Kliff’s abilities, you’ll be able to lift entire trunks and slam them onto the ground, breaking them into pieces. As showcased by Darth Microtransaction on Twitter, you can use this technique to one-shot some bosses.
In their video, the streamer revealed how you can defeat the Abyss Kutum boss with just one shot. They used Nature’s Grasp to pick up a nearby tree, walked up to the boss, and then simply bonked it with the massive trunk. Not only was it quick, but watching the trunk and the boss shatter is very satisfying.
Of course, it might take a few more hits on mid or late-game bosses, as they get tougher, but it will still take off a big chunk of their health. This tactic will work well against slow and hulking bosses, but will probably be harder to pull off against smaller, humanoid ones, as they might be too quick.
Unfortunately, not all bosses will have trees around them, so this strategy can only be used in certain situations. Crimson Abyss has a plethora of features and mechanics that you can leverage in combat, but it’s good to see that bonking bosses with massive sticks is still a viable option.
