Crimson Desert’s continent of Pywel is filled with fictional wonder. From fantasy themes like dragon riding and magic, to mechs and jetpacks right out of a sci-fi story, the game covers a lot of ground. However, it seems that there is one aspect of the game that’s closer to reality than most other games: how you make money.
Most other action adventure games or RPGs give you money only as quest rewards or loot, Crimson Desert lets you do so by making investments. You’ll need to open a bank account for 100 silver and deposit a gold bar to make interest off; really engaging gameplay! However, finding a gold bar isn’t so easy in the early game, unless you know where to look.
Where To Find Gold Bars In Crimson Desert
As showcased by PC Gamer, there is actually a gold bar you can steal relatively close by to Crimson Desert’s starting area. Lioncrest Manor can be found just northwest of the starting area. While it’s part of a later quest, you can still make your way inside to get that gold bar and start investing early on.
The entry is blocked, so you’ll have to go around to the back, climb the wall on the right of the door, and open a window to get inside. Once you’re in, head downstairs to find a fireplace with a lion statue above it. Extinguish the fire, and you’ll get the option to examine the area. You’ll find a hidden compartment which contains a gold bar you can steal. Just make sure no one is around when you do.
Remember kids, start investing early to get the best returns. That way, you don’t have to resort to stealing or picking coins off people you’ve defeated in battle. It will also ensure that you can purchase proper food instead of cooking it on the ground by reflecting the sun with your sword, like some sort of weirdo.
