Avatar Legends Release Date, Launch Roster, And Price Revealed

Avatar Legends Release Date, Launch Roster, And Price Revealed

A new trailer for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game has confirmed its launch roster, release date, and a surprisingly low asking price of $29.99 for its standard edition.

Although Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Invincible VS are the headliner fighting games of 2026, anyone who has been paying attention to Avatar Legends will know that it’s a surprise contender to the throne that’s well worth keeping an eye on. Ever since its reveal last year, Legends has impressed us all with its visuals, in-depth mechanics, and clear love for the source material.

Avatar has arguably never had a good game, but Legends certainly looks like it’s going to change that. As if all of the above wasn’t enough, the latest trailer for the game has not only confirmed its final launch roster and release date, but also that it’s going to be much cheaper than most other fighting games on the market.

Avatar Legends Looks Like One Of 2026’s Biggest Surprises, And It’ll Only Cost $29.99

Not Long To Go Until Its July 2 Release

Earlier today, a new trailer for Avatar Legends dropped that revealed pretty much everything about the game. The big takeaway is that it’s launching in just a few months time on July 2, and will only cost a shockingly low $29.99 for its standard edition. The deluxe edition will cost a bit more at $49.99, but that’s still cheaper than a lot of games.

It was also confirmed that Avatar Legends’ launch roster will consist of a relatively slim 12 characters, including Sokka, Azula, Ozai, Avatar State Aang, and Avatar State Korra. Although the roster is noticeably smaller than most other fighting games, every character shown so far does at least seem to be quite distinct.

Avatar State Aang and Avatar State Korra do sound like clone characters, but they’re so badass that I don’t even really mind. Here’s hoping their movesets are noticeably different

That’s already a lot of information to take in, but the trailer also showed off the story mode, arcade mode, online offerings, and much more. It was already clear from the closed betas that Avatar Legends has a chance of being one of the year’s biggest surprises, but this massive news drop has me even more excited.
