SKU codes are ‘stock keeping unit’ codes that can be used to order new items directly via the computer. In Retro Rewind Video Store Simulator, you can use the SKU code to order a specific copy from the Black Market.
This is a great way to replace a damaged VHS returned by a customer, or to get a Limited Edition cover version of an existing video. If you aren’t sure where to find the SKU codes, you’re not alone. Here is everything you need to know about finding and using SKU codes in Retro Rewind Video Store Simulator.
How To Find And Use SKU Codes In Retro Rewind
If you want to order a particular video for your store in Retro Rewind, you can check the SKU code and get the VHS on the Black Market. These videos cost a lot more than your average video purchase, but if it is a title you have lost due to a customer’s carelessness, or you want the limited edition cover for it, then the price is worth it.
To find a SKU code, pick up the video you want to order another copy of and press F to inspect it. The SKU code is on the left of your screen between ‘Copies Owned’ and ‘Review Score’.
Try guessing SKU codes by entering random numbers into the Black Market and see if you get lucky!
If you require a video, but you don’t own a copy to find the SKU code, it gets a little more complicated. Currently, there is no official database for SKU codes from the developers of Retro Rewind Video Store Simulator, but a few players have created their own.
The ever-growing SKU code database has over 900 SKU codes to date, with titles across all genres, and including limited-edition shiny rainbow covers. You can filter the video SKU codes by VHS cover, by title, and numerically by SKU code. Find it here: SKU Finder.
Order a video with a SKU code to complete one of the achievements for Retro Rewind.
Using the SKU code should be used as a last resort for when you either want to replace a damaged tape or find one particular title to complete your collection. The Black Market videos are very expensive and not a good way to fill your shelves. If you just need to give the customers a good variety of VHS tapes, then buy individual tapes or bundles via the regular market, or purchase them individually from the Video Guy.
