The suggestion adds to previous reports from IGN, VGC, and DuskGolem, who have hinted at a Code Veronica remake being what Capcom puts out next after Resident Evil Requiem. There have also been rumours of a Resident Evil Zero remake, but there’s not quite as much smoke surrounding such a project right now.
With a new mainline title in Resident Evil Requiem launching for PS5 on 27th February 2026, history would suggest another remake will be what Capcom releases next. The publisher has been alternating between new games and remakes in the series for some time now.
