New Base Build Ideas For The Home Sweet Home Update In Palworld

Building a base in Palworld takes time and dedication, especially if you want to make it look as great as it operates. However, until the Home Sweet Home update, you had to get creative with specific elements of designing. With this update, however, you can now paint building pieces and place triangular blocks.

We’ve come up with a few fascinating build ideas to try out with all your new blocks. From complete base renovations to fun minigames you can play with friends, here are the best builds you can make with the latest Palworld update! Be sure to try them out.

Build The Pyramids

If you’ve set up a base in the desert for sulfur or coal, then you know how awesome a set of pyramids would look near the Anubis statue or hidden in the sands. With the triangular building blocks, you can create a pyramid to protect your base from intruders and to store items and stack Pal beds.

Of course, it won’t be easy. You’ll need to build a wide foundation and scale upwards using diagonal roof pieces, but the overall effect is grand. Bonus points if you use the stone building set and paint it a dusty golden color to better fit the desert vibe. Opposing players may not even know it’s a base if you plan it right.

An Ice Rink

With the glass set, you can create stunning works of translucent art, but why not make something more exciting? Instead, place the glass foundations around the snowy biomes, then use fences to corral the area. Use the triangular foundations to create more rounded corners.

With the glass on the ground, it will look like ice–especially if you paint it to look like frozen water with a light blue or green hue. While it will operate like a normal foundation, you can decorate it to be festive and create some holiday magic for your northern bases. You can also “thaw” it out by removing the paint and having it appear as a lake off-season.

Create A Stained-Glass Window

There are several ruined churches around the archipelago, and you can use them as foundations for your base. Why not try rebuilding a ruined cathedral and installing your own stained glass windows to accent it? With the triangular wall pieces, you can create a mosaic that shimmers when the sunlight hits it.

Of course, the details will be hard to convey without some practice and patience, but it’s a good idea to try out if you have resources to spare. After all, how cool would it be to build your own following in a cathedral within Palworld? Use can rally your guild mates around it and work to spread your mission across the land.

A Game Of Checkers

With painting now unlocked, you can create a traditional checkerboard or chess board to play on. Whether you use statues as the playing pieces or your guild mates, there’s a lot of fun to be had here.

A uniform checkerboard will take up a lot of space, so it’s a good idea to build it at an empty base if you have one or to turn off deterioration and build it elsewhere. Consider using glass or stone for a smooth-looking end result, and be sure to dye them opposite colors so you can play with ease.

Rounded Towers

By now, you’ve probably tried to build a tower, only for it to end up looking like a giant box. If that’s been an issue, consider building a tower with the triangular pieces at the corners. This creates a nice rounded effect despite not being round at all! Instead, you can have the aesthetic you want without compromising on the functionality of a grid-based system.

You can also scale this down to build a functioning silo, similar to the decorative one you can place. This one, however, can hold all food-related items so that they don’t go bad. Consider this build for your next base if you tend to have an excess of food.

Race Tracks

A more fun option for the triangular pieces involves building a race course for you and your friends. Line up at the start and rush along the building blocks to reach the end of the loop on your favorite mounts. This is a great way to test your skills and show off your Pal’s traits, especially if you’ve been breeding them to have infinite stamina or a higher base speed.

These will take up a lot of space, so it’s a good idea to turn off deterioration outside of bases so you can build a track according to your specifications. The added challenge of fending off Pals that fall onto the track or riding through enemy encampments make the race much more engaging.

Beware of anti-air zones, unless you want additional chaos.

Mosaic Floors

Similar to the stained glass windows, you can also create patterned floors within your home. At this time, not all pieces can be painted, so you’ll have to make due with wood, stone, or glass if you want custom paint jobs, but it’s worth it to create aesthetically pleasing designs on your otherwise lackluster floor.

Use the paint to create shading and contrast as well so that the entire structure has some more depth. Since you can fully customize the range of colors you use, it should be easy to adjust the colors as needed to create a stylish and eye-catching home palette.

An Altar For The Palbox

Why build a Palbox on the ground when you can create a base for it to rest on. Since you can’t build around the Palbox once it’s placed, it’s a good idea to prepare for it in advance. Create a deck or patio for it to sit on and use the triangular pieces to create the center. Since you can’t place steps along the triangular pieces when they go in a diagonal, get creative to design a framing effect and use the steps to lead up to the Palbox.

This way, you can fully customize your base without the Palbox getting in the way, and you can build an altar that will conceal or at least elevate the pesky box so it doesn’t ruin your aesthetic. Just note that the structure you build under the Palbox will essentially be permanent unless you want to deconstruct the base or deal with a floating Palbox.

A Luxury Greenhouse

With the new glass and wood pieces, you can create a stunning greenhouse for your gardening purposes. It’s tall enough for most Pals to get in and out of without being obscenely large in size. Mixing in tatami mats for flooring creates a grassy effect since they can’t be painted yet.

Be sure to decorate the exterior with crawling ivy and floral decor, then fill the extra space inside with the same to give it an overgrown vibe. The triangular pieces help to create rounded corners to make the greenhouse look more quaint and elegant. Plus, with glass windows, you can see your crops growing without worrying about raids destroying them.
