With almost all the infrastructure above ground destroyed in Arc Raiders, humanity has long since retreated to mostly living underground in the massive city of Speranza, and they do their best to keep things running thanks to materials gathered by Raiders.
Power generation for a whole underground city is a huge undertaking, and besides generators, Speranza also relies heavily on solar power to help keep things running since there’s plenty of sun, and it’s an easy and relatively safe method of doing so. ARC may ignore Solar Panels, but nature’s just as active, and sometimes it causes problems for Speranza’s solar panels.
How To Repair The Solar Panels
After Rain Comes is a quest for Celeste that’s unlocked after completing Shani’s quest, Eyes In The Sky, and it takes place in the Buried City. Celeste asks you to repair some flooded solar panels, and this is one of the few quests that requires you to bring or find additional items to use for the quest.
Do Tian Wen’s quest Eyes On The Prize at the same time if you have access to it, as both of them require Wires to repair or modify something via interaction, so you can bring enough Wires for both.
The solar panels are located between the Grandioso Apartments and the Old Town Hatch in the western part of the Buried City, and you’ll find them sitting in a giant puddle of water.
To repair the solar panels, you’ll need five Wires and two Batteries, and the best thing to do is bring them to the Buried City from your own stash when you’re preparing your inventory, as Wires and Batteries aren’t common to find, thanks to this map having mostly Commercial, Medical, and Old World loot.
It’s much easier to find some on Dam Battlegrounds or the Spaceport, as they have several locations that primarily feature Technological and Electrical loot, especially Dam Battlegrounds.
If you forget to bring the necessary materials, the best places to try and get Wires and Batteries from will be the Research and Space Travel buildings near the center of the map, and the Parking Garage also has a good chance of having some in the destroyed cars.
You can also look for items you can salvage into Wires and Batteries, such as Power Cables, Damaged Heat Sinks, and Industrial Batteries.
Bring the items over to the solar panels next to Grandioso Apartments, and you’ll get a special interaction prompt at a yellow power box near the flatter set of panels, which also shows the material requirements for the repair.
After repairing it, you’ll complete the major objective of the quest, and you can either extract and return to Speranza or you can explore around and get some extra loot from places like the Space Travel building before doing so.
When you get back to Speranza, speak to Celeste in the Traders tab of the menu to finish the quest and get your reward of some EXP, five Blue Raider Flares, three Antiseptics, which are used to craft Sterilized Bandages and Vita Spray, and five Durable Cloth, which are used to craft Herbal Bandages.
