Z-A Outfits To Pair With Your Mega Dimension Pokemon

While you’re free to express your own style in Pokemon Legends: Z-A due to the insane amount of clothing options available in the game, there’s still nothing quite like feeling totally in sync with your partner Pokemon, from your coordinated attacks to your sense of style. That said, most of the Pokemon in Legends: Z-A that players will likely be using will be Megas, and matching those is a bit more complex.

Most Mega Evolutions are amped up designs of the original Pokemon, which means you’ll need to get even more creative if you want to find a way to match the Mega Evolution. Of course, matching can mean something different for everyone. Some prefer a 1:1 appearance with their Pokemon while others simply want their outfit to feel vaguely inspired by them. Either way, there’s no wrong option.

Mega Absol Z

Unfortunately, most of Mega Absol Z’s design is primarily the same color, aside from the bright red wing. To match this Mega Evolution, you’ll want to keep colors limited, but be sure to accent with something that gives the same pop of red, whether it be gloves or even a hat.

Mega Meowstic

Mega Meowstic is a bit of a fun one to try to match an outfit to. Since it combines the design of the Male and Female Meowstic, it has a very split color pattern. Thanks to the mix-and-match option with most clothing, you can accomplish something similar easily enough by pairing jackets and shirts together that match the color scheme, and one store even sells blue asymmetrical tights.

Mega Staraptor

Mega Staraptor is one of the Mega Evolutions whose design doesn’t change all that much when it Mega Evolves, so matching the Mega will also work pretty well for the base form. That said, Staraptor is lots of grays and whites, which can be a bit dull, so don’t forget to throw in that touch of Scarlet somewhere to give your outfit some life.

Mega Lucario Z

Since its reveal, Mega Lucario Z has jokingly been referred to as the Hatsune Miku evolution. The color scheme, in addition to the long pig-tail-looking hairstyle, has been the main reason for this, so the direction for a trainer outfit to match is obvious. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options when it comes to ties in Legends: Z-A, but you can still accomplish something that gets the overall vibe across.

Mega Magearna

While Magearna doesn’t generally have much color to it, Mega Magearna, on the other hand, is a vibrant red and gold. Unfortunately, not many clothing items in the game appear in the same scarlet or bright golden color as Mega Magearna, but you can still match her overall color scheme and style if you get a bit creative.

Mega Golisopod

If you’re a bit more of a minimalist when it comes to color, then perhaps color matching with Mega Golisopod is more your vibe. Overall, Mega Golisopod is mostly pale pinks and purples with a hint of a more vibrant purple as well.

While making an outfit so pale can feel a bit like it’s lacking creativity, there are actually tons of clothing items that match this color palette, so you’ve got more options with this than almost anything else in the game, which makes it easy to customize and fit your unique style.

Mega Scovillain

Mega Scovillain is certainly a Mega Evolution that many probably didn’t see coming, but it’s certainly an interesting one. The newly added pepper gives the Mega a somewhat business-style look that’s easy enough to replicate, even if it does have two heads you need to match with. Thankfully, this is one of those times when color-blocking options for hair can really bring an entire look together.

Whether you’re matching your favorite Mega or just simply want an excuse to buy more than 2–3 outfits in Lumiose City, challenging yourself to match Pokemon can be a fun way to get creative and show off your unique style, and Legends: Z-A is filled to the brim with options to choose from.
