World Of Warcraft Still Hasn’t Fixed Haranir Clipping Issues For Midnight

World of Warcraft’s big Midnight expansion has finally freed the game’s new allied race — the Haranir — from the realms of the game’s beta servers, meaning everyone is now free to run around as a definitely-not-Avatar-inspired blue warrior. However, if you’re hoping to wear any of your older gear on one of these characters, you’ll probably notice a pretty big issue right away.

According to reports from several WoW players, the Haranir appear to have a massive clipping issue when it comes to the transmog system. Thanks to the race’s larger-than-normal lower half, a lot of the gear will look a bit wonky when equipped on them, meaning their butts and thighs poke through several pieces of gear, both old and popular.

Another problem appears to be that the female Haranir model has a permanent vine bra-strap detail, which cannot be removed by equipping different gear, once again wrecking a lot of outfits that you may want to equip. Combine both of these issues, and the Haranir race isn’t looking too great.

Understandably, this has led to quite a lot of complaints from fans, which has been made worse by the fact that these clipping issues have apparently been known to Blizzard for quite some time.

In fact, you can find numerous complaints about the clipping as far back as November 2025, as seen on Blizzard’s official forums (thanks PC Gamer). Even back then, fans warned Blizzard that the issue was “unacceptable for a new race and needs to be fixed”, and was even starting to make fans worry the closer Midnight came to release.

According to a user in the Reddit post above by KnightmareMaiden, Blizzard was “spammed nonstop about this for 7 months”, but still hasn’t managed to fix the issue before the launch of Midnight. It’s pretty damning on Blizzard to not have such a widely reported issue fixed in over half a year, but also still let the race out onto live servers when it knew it wasn’t fit for purpose.

The Monetisation Of World Of Warcraft’s New Transmog System Is Being Compared To Gacha Games By Players

The new system is surprisingly expensive.

All of this has also seemingly led to concerns about World of Warcraft’s QA department, especially since Microsoft has been pretty layoff-happy over the past few years. We have no idea what effect that has had on Blizzard’s overall quality assurance, but it is worth noting that those remaining are unionized, so it’s not like it can get worse any time soon.

I’d like to say that Blizzard is aware of the issue and that a fix is coming soon, but seeing as though Blizzard has been aware of the issue for seven months now, who knows exactly when matters are going to be taken a bit more seriously. You can find several Reddit threads talking about how borked the Haranir are at the moment, and there are already people calling for refunds, so maybe enough backlash that could potentially hit Blizzard where it hurts may make the issue more important.
