Arc Raiders: Keeping An Eye Out Quest Walkthrough
Apparently, highways can make for a good hidden base.
From the small and sneaky Tick that employs ambush tactics, to the massive Matriarch that controls a horde of smaller ARC, each one is equipped with deadly weaponry, and somehow, new ones keep appearing. No one knows where they come from, but it might be that they’re learning and evolving to further combat humanity, and ARC’s newest creation if the Firefly.
How To Destroy Fireflies And Get Firefly Burners
Fireflies are a type of flying ARC that can spawn on every map, but they’re more common on Spaceport and The Blue Gate than on the others, so they’re the places to go for Firefly Burners.
They tend to travel alone, but you may sometimes see them fly in a pack with Wasps and Hornets, and you can distinguish them from Wasps and Hornets by their much flatter and longer profile, and their louder, less whining engine.
Grenades work well against Fireflies since they tend to stay closer to you and don’t move as wildly, especially Seeker Grenades, which home in on ARC enemies, and Trigger ‘Nades, which can be detonated manually for better timing.
Fireflies will stay at close-range and follow you closely so they can blast you with a constant stream of fire that does damage to both your health and shield at the same time, with your health draining slightly faster, and the blast will leave you on fire for a few seconds, which will continue to do damage.
Similar to Hornets, aim for the two front engines to make it harder for the Fireflies to fly and force them to start falling towards the ground, which can give you a chance to recover, especially since it tends to interrupt their flames.
Fireflies are also more durable than a Hornet and have more armor, so Weapons with at least Medium Arc Penetration are best, with ones such as the Anvil being a standout thanks to it being easy to obtain from Tian Wen’s shop.
Fireflies leave an area of fire on the ground when they explode like a Fireball, so be careful if they crash while you’re fighting other ARC enemies or when approaching them to loot them.
Each Firefly is guaranteed to drop one Fireball Burner when looted, along with one Simple Gun Parts, five Chemicals, and one Arc Powercell, and they can occasionally drop one Crude Explosives or one Explosive Compound as well.
The main use of Firefly Burners is to craft the Trailblazer grenade, with each one costing one Synthesized Fuel, two Crude Explosives, and one Firefly Burner, and you’ll need an Explosives Station Three and the Trailblazer Blueprint to have access to the recipe.
