A major part of the appeal of Where Winds Meet is the wuxia setting, and all the gravity-defying antics, chivalrous acts, and martial arts prowess you can muster up. And when you blend all of that together, you get the game’s many Mystic Skills.
Equal parts actual martial arts philosophy and just nonsensical, the Lion’s Roar skill falls squarely in the middle. Bells often have a soothing effect when heard, but can also be thunderously loud. Especially when you deploy one out of thin air to assail your enemies.
How Do You Unlock The Lion’s Roar Mystic Skill?
The Lion’s Roar Mystic Skill is actually one you have during the tutorial of the game. Among the many skills at your disposal, one of them is to whip out a giant bell and ring it at enemies to knock them back and deplete their Qi rapidly. Sadly, you do not get to keep it once you start playing as your own character.
To unlock it once again, you’ll need to ring some bells across the Qinghe region. Four of them in total, to be precise. Once all four have been rung, you will automatically unlock the Lion’s Roar Mystic Skill.

Every Copper Bell Location
So let’s get to finding those copper bells. These are big bells, the same type you use during the Mystic Skill itself, so they’re pretty hard to miss. They’re all surrounded by the structure that houses and holds them up, so they should be fairly visible even at a distance.
All of the bells are in Qinghe, though two of them are found around the General’s Shrine, which might make you think all four of them are on that island. Alas, the remaining two are found in the opposite corners of Qinghe, so let’s start our search.
Copper Bell #1
The first we’ll look for is the northernmost bell. It is found in the Sundara Land region of Qinghe, in the far east.
The bell itself is all by itself atop a hill. You can follow the path on the map to more easily find it. Ring it and head on.
Copper Bell #2
The next copper bell we’ll head to is the one in the General’s Shrine area, within the grounds. This is right in the middle of Qinghe, and one of the first areas you’ll explore.
The bell is found on the west side of the area, right across from where the man and frog are leaping together. Ring it and we can find the next one.
Talk to the man to initiate a Skill Theft against the frog, where you will learn the Leaping Frog Mystic Skill.
Copper Bell #3
The next copper bell is almost directly south of the last one, still on the island of the General’s Shrine, though this time outside the grounds.
With how flat the land is here, it should be fairly easy to see. Just ring it and and we can head on to the final bell.
Copper Bell #4
The final copper bell is found in the southern section of Qinghe, in the Moonveil Mountain region. You can specifically find it in the Witherwilds area to the west.
This area is quite foggy, making it a bit harder to navigate. The bell itself is found on the grounds of a ruined shrine.
What Does The Lion’s Roar Skill Do?
During this Mystic Skill, you take out a giant bell and unleash thunderous ringing. This hits multiple times, and more of its effects can activate the more the enemy is hit. You also gain Tenacity during the attack, increasing your hyper armour and defence.
For example, if you’ve poisoned an enemy with the Leaping Frog Mystic Skill, then hitting them with Lion’s Roar will have that poison spread to nearby enemies.
As you upgrade the skill, it will also have breakthroughs as it reaches new tiers, each granting the skill a new effect. These include:
- Tier 2 – Enhances the Tenacity effect.
- Tier 3 – Dealing damage to a single enemy for at least five hits will Silence them for three seconds.
- Tier 4 – You gain a 40% damage reduction when using this skill.
Not only is Lion’s Roar strong, it synergises great with other Mystic Skills. Plus, it’s also very funny to find a giant bell and just loudly ring it.
