Whenever there’s a new region expansion in Wuthering Waves, it usually comes along with a bunch of optional quests apart from the main quest where you meet all the playable characters. These quests can range from longer Exploration quests to significantly smaller side quests that appear with a blue marker.
The Hidden Childhood is one of the latter quests, and you get it by heading over to a group of kids talking with each other. During this quest, you’ll have to find these three kids hiding in specific locations around a circular area, which can be quite difficult if you don’t think outside the box.
How To Get The Hidden Childhood Quest
To unlock the Hidden Childhood quest in Wuthering Waves, you’ll first have to get to the Lahai-Roi region, which is the third main region in the game. You can do so by starting the first act of chapter three. A bit after you start this quest, you’ll already reach the region but you can progress this quest until you reach the Startorch Academy.
Once you get here, you’ll be free to explore the rest of the map, at which point you can head over to the Resonance Nexus on the bottom right side of the academy. As you activate this Nexus, you’ll reveal the Spacetrek Observatory. Right above this observatory, you’ll see a chest icon on the map signifying a cluster of chests in the area.
You might have to finish a few Exploration quests in the nearby area before being able to get this Hidden Childhood quest.
Get close to this chest icon and the blue icon symbolizing the Hidden Childhood quest will pop up nearby. You can start this quest by talking to a group of children at the marker.

Where To Find All The Children
After you’re done with the quest dialogue, the three kids will hide in specific places and you can find them by following these steps:
- If you zoom in on the map of the area, you’ll see a vertical building’s icon in gray color below the chest icon here. The first kid can be found on the balcony of this building.
- For the second kid, move closer to the river on the right side of this vertical building and you’ll see a rhino enemy with a couple of NPCs pointing at it. When you get close, you’ll be able to reveal them.
- Move up north from the second location and the third kid can easily be spotted beside some rocks with purple-colored markings on them.
Once you’ve found all the kids, you can finish the dialogue to get the quest rewards including some Shell Credits and upgrade materials.
