Crafting is a big part of many survival horror games, and Resident Evil Requiem continues the latest games’ tradition of giving you the chance to fabricate your own ammo and valuable items. And you will need it. Both Grace and Leon will need all the equipment they can find to avoid their deaths.
To be able to craft, you’ll need to find resources and recipes, which will unlock more crafting options for each character. We will go over all the crafting recipes’ locations, as well as every item you can craft and what you need for them in Resident Evil Requiem.
How Crafting Works
You can start crafting items as soon as you find materials, such as Scrap and Herbs. You need to open your Inventory menu, switch to Crafting, and select the items you can craft, which will depend on the resources you have with you. This will be key when the ammo you find is not enough.
It doesn’t count if you have resources stored in the Item Box. Also, you always need to have free space in your inventory to craft something.
Apart from Resources, Grace will use a Blood Collector that can collect, well, blood. Many crafting recipes will ask for Infected Blood, which you can find by exploring the Care Center and discovering buckets with blood or after defeating enemies (random drop).
At first, you’ll have a limited number of things you can craft, but you’ll be able to expand this by finding crafting recipes with Grace. There are two types of recipes: Blood Samples and regular recipes.
For the former, you’ll have to find the sample and then carry it to the Blood Analyzer in the Blood Lab of the Care Center. You’ll then play a short mini-game where you need to activate all the atoms on screen.
Regular recipes are much easier: you find them, and the recipe is automatically added to you.

Here is how to complete the final puzzle and what you use the Severed Hand for in Resident Evil Requiem.
Where To Find Grace’s Crafting Recipes
Crafting Recipe |
What It Unlocks |
Location |
|---|---|---|
Blood Specimen (Denatured) |
It’s in the Blood Lab, on the east side of the Care Center. It’s right next to the Blood Analyzer on a desk. |
Blood Specimen (Reversible) |
Also in the Blood Lab, but in the Storage Room that you can access with the ID Wristband Level 1 (blue). |
Blood Specimen (Converged) |
Go to the Waiting Room in the Care Center. There will be a locked door custodied by an infected cleaning staff member. You’ll have to use the ID Wristband Level 1 (blue) to access here. |
Molotov Cocktail Crafting Recipe |
It’s in the Bunkroom, on the east side of the Care Center Basement, which works as a prison. There’s a power device right next to the Boiler Room that you need to turn on to open this room. The recipe is in a suitcase on a table next to bodies lying down. |
Bottle of Acid Crafting Recipe |
You can find this one in another case, this time in the Monitor Control Room, in the ARK facility. It’s right next to a safe. |
Blood Specimen (Polymerized) |
It’s in the same spot where you found Blood Specimen (Denatured), but you need to start a new game in Insanity mode. |
