Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 hasn’t slowed down since launch, with Treyarch separating Endgame from the co-op campaign, releasing Nuketown 2025 for multiplayer, and rewarding the community for completing the first Easter Egg with the classic-inspired Zombies mode, Cursed, but the ball won’t get rolling properly until next month.
That’s when Season 1 kicks off, as Warzone integration arrives along the game’s first battle pass, a brand-new Zombies map, several returning weapons, and much more. In this guide, we’ll go over everything that’s included in Season 1, when it starts, what to expect from your favourite modes, and more.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Release Date
Season 1 begins on December 4, 2025. Activision has not yet revealed what time it will go live, but based on Black Ops 7 updates and previous games, it will likely go live at around 5pm GMT, 12pm ET, and 9am PT.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Zombies Maps
The first post-launch Zombies map, Astra Malorum, will arrive in Season 1 next month, alongside two new survival maps pulled from Ashes of the Damned.
Astra Malorum takes place on a giant floating skull, which the Dark Aether crew reach by flying through space using a souped-up Ol’ Tessie, all while fending off an asteroid field of ravagers. It doesn’t appear that we’ll be using the pickup truck in this map, as Richtofen muses to the rest of the squad in the opening cutscene, “Remember where we parked”.

As for the two new Survival maps, Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome will join Vandorn Farm in Season 1.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Multiplayer Maps
Season 1 will feature seven new multiplayer maps, including Nuketown 2025, which is already available as of November 20:
- Fate
- Utopia
- Odysseus
- Standoff
- Meltdown
- Yakei
On the roadmap, Treyarch teases that there’s “more” to come, which dataminers have already begun digging into. Remasters of Vertigo (which was confirmed on the COD POD) and Gridlock have already been uncovered, giving us an idea of what to expect. However, they may be saved for a future season; it’s always worth taking leaks with a grain of salt.
Call of Duty also briefly shared a graphic revealing Sleighjacked, a Christmas-themed version of Hijacked.
New Season 1 Weapons
Also arriving in Season 1 are several new weapons to be used across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame, such as the Maddox assault rifle from Black Ops 4, and the return of two series staples – the Crossbow and Ballistic Knife.
Dataminers have also uncovered numerous codenames in the files, referencing three ARs, one marksman rifle, one other melee weapon, an assault shield, one shotgun, an additional special weapon, three SMGs, and one sniper rifle.
Some of the weapons could appear in Season 1, but they could also just as easily be cut content or planned for a future season.
Black Ops 7 Warzone Integration
The first season will integrate Black Ops 7 into Warzone, which means every weapon will be made available in the battle royale mode, alongside new mastery camos and calling card challenges.
As for what you can expect from Warzone itself, Verdansk is returning more or less as it was in past games, albeit with two new points of interest: the factory and the signal station.
Resurgence, meanwhile, will receive a new map called Haven’s Hollow, an expanded version of Liberty Falls, including the Shattered Veil mansion, from Black Ops 6 Zombies.
