In Heartopia, there are lots of magical things you can do to bond with your neighbors and create new memories. From following your dreams to pursuing new hobbies, there’s always something to keep you entertained.
One of the most exciting things you can do is collect rare materials from falling stars, however, the odds of finding them are quite rare. We’ll break down how you can locate and collect Starfall Shards and build a steady supply for all your crafting dreams! Here’s everything you need to know to start collecting shards!
How To Get Starfall Shards
Before you can start collecting, it’s important that you know where to find these special gems. Starfall Shards are special meteorite fragments that only appear on Onsen Mountain during a Meteorite Shower, meaning you’ll need to pay attention to the weather conditions at night.

All Meteor Shower Starfall Shard Locations
Starfall Shards will appear all over Onsen Mountain, meaning you can collect them immediately once the event starts. It’s best to start at one side and hit each node in order so you don’t miss out, but you can also start at the bus stop and go in a circle if that’s easier for you.
Make sure to look high and low, as Starfall Shards can spawn on cliffs and the shoreline. We’ve included a picture of Onsen Mountain’s map, with all the initial Starfall Nodes marked with gold stars. However, their descriptions are listed below to give you an idea of where to look, since locations vary with each meteor shower:
- At the northwest beach. Head to the northwest region of the mountain and search the shoreline.
- In the Ruins. Near the capybara trough, move behind the rocks to find this node.
- South of Onsen Mountain Lake. Head to Crater Lake and venture down the cliffs.
- In the Southwest Corner. Far from the mountain resort, on the winding path to the west near lot five.
- South of the Old Sea. Trek along the shore south of the Old Sea Islet.
- On the mountain cliffs. Towards the center of the mountain, up on the cliffs overlooking the Onsen.
- Near the Mountain Lake. At the fork in the path in the southeast.
- In the Eastern Hills. Close to lot eight, up in the cliffs.
- On the Stone Cliff Path. By the shoreline along the rode to the far east of the mountain.
How To Tell When The Next Meteor Shower Will Be
When is the next meteorite shower in Heartopia? Open up your smartwatch and click on the weather image in the top right corner. Here, you can find all the details about the next week’s worth of weather.
Look for the moon icon surrounded by stars to know when a meteorite shower is happening! It will take place from 6:00PM and go until 12:00AM, so make sure to plan accordingly.
How To Get More Starfall Shards
At the time of the meteor shower, nine nodes will appear all around Onsen Mountain. For each one you mine, you’ll get three to four pieces of the corresponding color Starfall Shard.
This means you’ll be limited in how many Starfall Shards you can earn, as Starfall Shards do not respawn after being harvested. Make sure you collect all of them before the meteor shower ends, or you’ll miss out!
There are five colors–white, red, yelow, green, blue, and purple–though not all colors will be available each meteor shower.
If you’re short on a specific color of Starfall Shard, you can convert white Starfall Shards into various colors by speaking to Doris, the mysterious merchant. However, she offers more services during a Meteor Shower than just Starfall Shards!
Doris’s Meteorite Shop
During meteor showers, Doris stands by the umbrella at the Onsen Mountain bus stop. Here, she offers a special selection of items you can purchase.
Below is a complete breakdown of what she offers during these special nights:
