What Are Hyper Strong Pokemon?
Hyper Strong Pokemon are a tier of endgame encounters introduced in Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, and they’re designed to challenge you. Finding Hyper Strong Pokemon requires exploring Hyperspace Lumiose.
Unlike normal wild encounters that top out near the level cap, Hyper Strong Pokemon are wild Pokemon that spawn above Level 100, sometimes up to Level 150, which makes them much tougher to defeat. You can’t simply overpower them with a high-level team; you have to raise your own Pokemon’s levels beyond the normal cap to stand a chance.

How To Fight And Catch Hyper Strong Pokemon
To fight Hyper Strong Pokemon, you’ll want to use donuts needed to enter Hyperspace Lumiose that have a high Level Boost stat. This particular stat temporarily boosts the level of every Pokemon in your party, which lets them compete with these Hyper Strong opponents. It’s also a good idea to start with a party made up of level 100 Pokemon.
The higher the Level Boost on the donut, the bigger the temporary level jump. This makes it possible to weaken Hyper Strong targets without being instantly knocked out.
Capturing them follows the usual process, albeit a bit harder. To catch one, status moves can be very helpful; putting a Hyper Strong Pokemon to sleep or paralyzing it significantly improves your odds, and using defense drops or chip damage tactics can help you avoid accidentally knocking out your target in order to catch it.
Hyper Strong Pokemon only stay super-leveled during the battle. Once you catch them, their levels drop back down to normal. For example, we battled one at level 144, and it ended up at level 36 in our box once caught.
