If you want to unlock every available option in the town building section of Octopath Traveler 0, you’ll have to invest quite a bit of time in collecting items, clearing the space, and building structures for the town to use so it can thrive.
After the events of the beginning of the game, you’ll end the prologue having to restart Wishvale from scratch. With Stia by your side and a dream of what it can be, you’ll eventually build a sprawling community for Wishvale. Once you complete the side mission, you’ll have the town in full force. Here’s what you’ll find when completing the Wishvale sidequests in the game.
All Town Buildings
You’ll first want ot know what buildings you can create in the game and how to get them. When you start, you’ll be tasked with building a Workshop to get things started. Each building will be unlocked via story progression from the sidequest Kindlers of the Flame.

Ranch |
A ranch where you can raise livestock found throughout the world. This will give you meat, milk, eggs, etc., based on the animals you have stationed in your ranch. |

Salon |
A place to change your appearance. The more you upgrade it, the more options you have for changes. |

Shop |
Buy regular items or exclusive items from the town shop. Unlock more options by finding stock recipes throughout the world. |

A training area where you can assign non-active party members to train. Assigned party members will gain EXP and JP while not in the party, though at a slightly lower rate. |

A communal church for Wishvale. This unlocks the ability to use more helpers in battle and open blue chests. |

A dais that unlocks several additional options. Use Azure Flamestones to unlock fast travel, area research, and the ability to speak to certain animals. |

A place to change and play music collected throughout the world, display trophies and antiques, and view journals. The museum is unlocked after completing the Kinders of the Flame questline. |

Monster Arena |
An area where you can battle captured monsters you find in the world for rewards. Unlocked after completing the Kinders of the Flame questline and reaching town level 6. |

Tips And Tricks For Town Building
While most of what you’ll be doing is following the questline to complete your town, there are a few things you can do to expedite the process. Here are a few tips and tricks for when you’re creating your town.
Constantly Collect Everything
Always collect everything you see in your travels. Exclamation marks will denote where you can find specific items in the overworld as you travel between towns. It’s worth your while to collect everything you see on your way. You’ll need several materials as you build more town structures, and they don’t respawn as soon as you leave the area, so collection may take some time if you don’t have the materials ready.
Find Materials Easily
Every structure you want to build will tell you exactly where you can find the materials needed. It usually just means you need to fast-travel to the closest city and traverse the areas surrounding it to locate the question marks and collect the items on the trail of that area.
Utilize Shops And Path Actions
Several shops will sell building materials, including your own shop in Wishvale. The same goes for NPCs in the world from whom you can get building materials through path actions. If you’re running low, double-check that you’ve purchased from NPCs through path actions.
Save Radiant Cornerstones
As you go through the main story, you’ll encounter several elite enemies that drop Radiant Cornerstones. Some later buildings have far better options to use your Radiant Cornerstones on for upgrades than some of the earlier facilities you create. For example, you’ll want enough Radiant Cornerstones to upgrade your church to unlock blue chests.
Use The Place All Function
From the menu when constructing the town, you can see in the bottom right corner an option to “Place All.” This option will automatically place all your residents in the perfect facility based on their abilities, ensuring you’re getting the best outcome from their skills. This comes in handy when you have a lot of facilities and residents that need to be placed.
Hide Structures When Necessary
Throughout your town-building adventures, you’ll eventually need to clear out debris from the ground. Sometimes this debris can be hidden behind structures and facilities. During one section, a bit of debris will be hidden behind an immovable facility, making it extremely difficult to see. To help you, always just hide structures so you can find whatever you need easily.
