When the Nintendo Switch 2 held its official reveal nearly one year ago, one of the most exiciting announcements at the time was the inclusion of classic GameCube titles to Nintendo Switch Online via the ongoing Nintendo Classics program.
Since then, fans have been treated to a variety of titles, including the original Luigi’s Mansion and more recently, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Now, via an inadvertent leak on Walmart’s website, it looks like we know what two of the next GameCube titles will be: Pikmin 2 and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
The leak, which was first shared on Reddit and independently verified by TheGamer, has Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2 alongside previously released titles on Nintendo Switch Online, including the very first GameCube Classics title in Wind Waker.
It’s unclear when exactly either title will release, but considering that rumors are rampant that a Nintendo Direct separate from the already-announced Tomodachi Life presentation, there’d be no better time.

The Switch 2 needs DK Bongos.
Interstingly enough, the presence of Prime 2 as a GameCube title and not as its own “Remastered” version like how the first Metroid Prime received would line up with rumors dating back to March 2025. At that time, it was reported that Prime 2 was being “saved” for NSO, except GameCube titles weren’t part of NSO just yet.
Once Prime 2 drops, the only remaining title in the Prime franchise will be the Wii exclusive Prime 3: Corruption. How Nintendo manages to pull that off is of the utmost interest.
It wasn’t until a few days later that GameCube games on NSO, as a Switch 2 exclusive feature, was announced. Flash forward to today, and it looks like at least two of the next titles have been revealed.
Right Now, We’re Still Waiting On Three Previously-Announced GameCube Titles
After the release of Path of Radiance earlier this month, the path (see what we did there) has been cleared for three titles that were previously unveiled but have still yet to debut on the paid service: Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Pokemon Colosseum and Mario Sunshine.
The former two Pokemon games seem like prime targets for a reveal during Pokemon Day fesitivites, while it’s still unclear when Sunshine will drop. After that, everything from the initial unveil will have been released. That gives a ton of space for both Metroid and Pikmin sequels to make their debuts.
So far, Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur 2 were the initial debut games. Then, Path of Radiance, Super Mario Strikers, Chibi-Robo, Luigi’s Mansion and Wario World all came after.
