The Most Expensive Disney Lorcana Cards In Winterspell

The Most Expensive Disney Lorcana Cards In Winterspell

Winterspell sees some of your favorite Disney characters enjoying themselves in a winter wonderland. A flurry of snow engulfs these iconic characters, bringing new life to them with brand new looks as they bundle up for the cold weather. Of course, the artwork in Disney Lorcana isn’t the only thing that makes a card popular; there’s also the card itself and its abilities.

From both a playability standpoint and a collector’s standpoint, there are several reasons to identify why these cards are the most valuable from set 11. Seeing Moana discovering snow for the first time and Tinker Bell all bundled up are situations you never would have imagined.

Prices are based on the current market value of the card on TCGPlayer.com

1

Moana, Curious Explorer – $44.70

Moana, Curious Explorer Disney Lorcana card.

It’s no surprise this card is one of the most valuable in this set. The artwork combined with the ability makes Moana, Curious Explorer a top contender for one of the most interesting cards this set.

Seeing Moana encountering snow for the first time is a great art novelty for collectiors sake alone. Combine this with her Ancestral Legacy ability, allowing her to ink cards from the discard, and there’s no reason this card won’t be a staple in every Sapphire deck.

2

Angel, Experiment 624 – $42.53

Angel, experiment 624 Disney Lorcana card.

While unassuming at first, Angel, Experiment 624 has a ton of potential in Steel decks, making her one of the more expensive cards this set. It’s a great card for combining with cards that benefit from you having no cards in hand.

Dealing two damage at the cost of reducing your hand when you have options to replenish your hand when it’s empty can not only help you banish a character, but it can also help you draw cards. The Resist +2 is also nice when your hand is empty, helping you clean up any last minute characters on the board.

3

Tinker Bell, Snowflake Collector – $39.40

Tinker Bell, Snowflake Collector Disney Lorcana card.

Another character who rarely sees snow, Tinker Bell, Snowflake Collector lets us stop imagining how the mischievous fairy would work in a cold climate, by showing us her having fun in the snow. Bundled up and adorable, part of the charm of this card is the artwork.

On top of this, a 3 cost 3/3 Evasive character (because in Amethyst, you’ll almost always have cards in hand to make Flurry of Delight work) who has the potential to quest for four lore is quite the powerhouse card.

4

Elsa, Ice Artisan – $39.28

Elsa, Ice Artisan Disney Lorcana card.

Looking like a regal queen, Elsa, Ice Artisan, has some gorgeous artwork for her, showcasing her regality in Ruby, mixing beautiful red and blue hues together in an impressive rendition by artist Nicholas Kole.

As a card, she’s got lots of potential. A 5/5 that can shift in on turn 4, while also being inkable, Elsa, Ice Artisan provides several options for players, making her more valuable. Her ability Distant Call has her questing for a total of four lore, and Endless Winter means you can exert a pesky character, preventing them from questing or banishing them before they can act.

5

Ohana Means Family – $35

Ohana Means Family Disney Lorcana card.

This card is definitely going to be one of the most valuable in Winterspell. Amber has been missing card draw for a while, with Rapunzel, Gifted with Healing being a staple in every Amber deck.

Winterspell grants the effect in a slightly different manner, but it still allows for card draw in Amber while keeping its quintessential healing factor. The popularity of Lilo and Stitch, the iconic line, and more artwork with the two experiencing snow definitely helps drive up the price.

6

Scrooge McDuck, Reformed Ebenezer – $34.76

Scrooge McDuck, Reformed Ebenezer Disney Lorcana card.

With Winterspell, the Boost mechanic has become more than just placing cards under another card, with the abilities of Boost mechanics now being able to stack and provide more effects depending on how many cards are stacked underneath one.

Scrooge McDuck, Reformed Ebenezer can shift in for a nice 4/6 stat line on turn 4, and Spreading Joy allows you to place a card under every other card with Boost. A free Boost without paying the ink cost is great, and Scrooge gets Ward on top of that. It’s overall a great card.

7

Darkwing Duck, Cool Under Pressure – $34.05

Darkwing Duck, Cool Under Pressure Disney Lorcana card.

Darkwing Duck fans rejoice, there are several cards from the series that have made their way into Disney Lorcana with Winterspell. While he costs quite a bit, he’s a Floodborn who can at least shift in earlier.

The ability to deal 2 damage is always neat, and on the heels of removing an item, it makes it even better. Evildoers Beware! allows him to challenge Villain characters on top of this, which can be scary with 6/8 stat line.

8

Grandmother Willow, Ancient Advisor (Epic) – $19.99

Grandmother Willow, Ancient Advisor Disney Lorcana card.

Grandmother Willow, Ancient Advisor has been a large conversation in the meta for Winterspell. Similar to the old Lanterns from The First Chapter, it allows you to play the next character for one ink less.

While the ruling and wording can be a bit tricky, Amber allows you to play more expensive cards for less, and Grandmother Willow does this while putting a questing body on the board at the same time.

9

Rapunzel, Ethereal Protector – $19.99

Rapunzel, Ethereal Protector, Disney Lorcana card.

A 3 cost 3/3 that quests for 2 lore, Rapunzel, Ethereal Protector is has very decent stats for her cost. She’s able to trade with some early game potential issues, and questing for two lore is a decent start.

It’s her ability Clonk! that adds a little spice to the card. Stopping an opponent from challenging with the Boost ability can be a huge advantage, protecting your characters from a lethal threat on the board.

10

Aladdin, On the Edge of Adventure (Epic) – $19.99

Aladdin, on the Edge of Adventure, Disney Lorcana card.

With a decent stat line and the potential to be Evasive with the ability Quick On His Feet, Aladdin isn’t the most amazing card in Winterspell, but he’s a decent addition for a quick way to clutch two lore when questing.

The Epic version of the card, of course, adds a bit more value with just how beautiful the card is. A classic scene from the original Aladdin, with a shiny new coat of paint, it’s a great collector’s piece.
