The most important thing to know about scoring is that you need to deplete a goalkeeper’s KP (Keeper Points) to ensure your shot finds the back of the net.
A goalkeeper’s KP is drained every time you take a shot at the goal that forces them to make a save. To deplete a goalkeeper’s KP, you should shoot from tight angles, aim for the corners of the net, and use special abilities to increase your total Attack rating, which will be deducted from the goalkeeper’s KP.
When a goalkeeper’s KP reaches zero, you will score, regardless of what kind of shot you take. However, certain shots will help you deplete KP much quicker, allowing you to score more goals.

How To Score Using Shot Chains
After you’ve chosen your starter team, the game will give you a tutorial on a special mechanic called Shot Chains.
Unfortunately, the game never explains what this is or how to execute it in your first few matches, even though it’s an essential tool to use to score.
To execute a Shot Chain, you must first use the Zone mechanic to slow down time and choose from a selection of special shots based on your character, as well as the option to pass.
While regular passing doesn’t add much to the Attack Power of your shots, targeting teammates and using a Special Move to get them the ball will stack Attack, making depleting a goalkeeper’s KP much faster.
To use a Special Move in a Shot Chain, target your teammate first, then select your Special Move choice, which will send the ball zooming toward them.
You only have about five seconds to react by targeting the goal and chaining another Special Move with the receiving player to send a powerful shot at the goalkeeper.
If you don’t react in time, the ball will whizz by your player, losing the chance.
Once you progress further past Chapter Five, you’ll also gain the ability to use Special Moves that are essentially pre-made Shot Chains, the first of which is Spring Thunderclap.
