The Best SMGs To Use In Zombies In CoD: Black Ops 7

The Best SMGs To Use In Zombies In CoD: Black Ops 7

Summary

  • The SMG meta in Zombies favors mobility, magazine capacity, and handling over typical multiplayer stats.
  • Carbon 57 tops Zombies with its massive 50-round magazine and rapid fire, relying on attachments to address its mobility woes.
  • MPC-25 and Dravec 45 shine bright, with the MPC being a high-damage machine with solid mobility and the Dravec having pinpoint accuracy and excellent Pack-a-Punch scaling.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is here, offering its suite of offerings, as per usual, with the Zombies mode in particular being pretty robust. While we already know which SMGs are the most dominant when throwing down in the online multiplayer, it’s an entirely different ball game when you try bringing them into Zombies, as you must prioritize different stats and features if you want to survive.

Of course, while accuracy and rate of fire are still crucial for an SMG to shine in Zombies, magazine capacity, mobility, and more are far more crucial. There’s nothing worse than having a high-damaging SMG that you can barely move around with, forcing you to become stationary as the hordes of Zombies pour in one after another. But, thankfully, most SMGs will be more than useful if you want to reach high rounds!

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 – Complete Guide To Weapon Prestige

Here’s everything you need to know about Weapon Prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7!

RK-9

A look at the RK-9 SMG without any attachments equipped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Pros

Cons

  • High Damage Potential
  • Solid Accuracy
  • Horrible Mobility And Handling
  • Burst-Fire Makes It Very Inconsistent
  • Relies On Attachments To Be Viable

At the bottom of our list is the RK-9, which sees our biggest gripes with it on the multiplayer side of things only multiply, making it the worst option in its class. While it can still be pretty solid early to mid-game, it will become increasingly weaker and weaker the higher rounds you achieve. This three-round burst SMG relies too heavily on you landing all three bullets on your target, and has terrible mobility and handling.

Even when Pack-a-Punched, the RK-9 doesn’t hang with the others, and that’s quite a shame, as we really adore this compact SMG and believe it has lots of potential that is held back by its middling damage, which puts it in the bottom slot. Having to stop, line up your shot, and attempt to land all three bullets on a sprinting Zombie is not ideal, especially with an SMG!

Razor 9MM

A look at the Razor 9MM SMG without any attachments equipped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Pros

Cons

  • High Damage Output
  • Blazing Fast Fire Rate
  • Poor Mobility And Handling
  • Poor Accuracy
  • Will Tear Through Its Ammunition

Speaking of SMGs with poor mobility and handling, enter the Razor 9MM, an SMG that has the potential to be in the top three but squanders it by essentially forcing you to play slower. While that makes it decent up through the mid-rounds, you will notice it the more you have to move around while kiting hordes of Zombies. Not only that, but its exceptionally high rate of fire makes it very challenging to keep under control.

When you Pack-a-Punch the Razor 9MM, you can practically kiss your ammunition goodbye, as you will burn through it in mere seconds. While it does deal tons of damage, the trade-offs just aren’t worth it, and that fact saddens us, as we like this SMG quite a bit. Nonetheless, if you’re going to use this weapon, ensure you swap it out for something better once you start getting into the higher rounds!

Ryden 45K

A look at the Ryden 45K SMG without any attachments equipped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Pros

Cons

  • Decent Damage Output
  • Fast Fire Rate
  • Solid Mobility And Handling
  • Won’t ‘Wow’ You In Any One Area
  • Pack-a-Punch Doesn’t Push It To New Heights

Next in line is the perfectly balanced Ryden 45K, which delivers solid damage, accuracy, mobility, and handling without sacrificing much of anything. Not only that, but this SMG also has the second-highest rate of fire, making it even more deadly. Does it do anything substantially better than the other SMGs? No. Not really. But does it have to? The answer to that is also ‘Not really.’

However, when bringing this over to the Zombies mode, you sort of want better mobility than what’s present here. Furthermore, when Pack-a-Punched, the Ryden 45K surprisingly doesn’t blow us away like we thought it would. It gets noticeably stronger, for sure, but it doesn’t feel sustainable in the later rounds. And, for that reason alone, it sadly didn’t make the top three. Nonetheless, we still recommend it, as it’s very fun to use!

MPC-25

A look at the MPC-25 SMG without any attachments equipped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Pros

Cons

  • Massive Damage Output
  • Excellent Mobility And Handling
  • More Than Acceptable Fire Rate
  • Accuracy Can Be Challenging To Rein In
  • Relies On Attachments To Be Viable

Kicking off our top three is none other than the MPC-25, which is a beast of an SMG in the multiplayer mode and maintains that potential in Zombies. It has tremendous mobility and handling, while also delivering devastating damage output, making it a Zombie-killing machine. It also has a respectable rate of fire, which only improves after Pack-a-Punching it.

Our biggest gripe with the MPC-25 is its accuracy, but you can easily rectify that issue with attachments. Its damage output and mobility are too good to place this weapon any lower, even if it does rely a bit too much on attachments to make it viable. You will be kiting Zombies and mowing them down like no tomorrow with this thing, and that’s more than enough to place it this high!

Dravec 45

A look at the Dravec 45 SMG without any attachments equipped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Pros

Cons

  • Decent Damage Output
  • Solid Pack-a-Punch Scaling
  • Attachments Only Make It Better
  • Good But Not Great Mobility And Handling
  • Middle Of The Road Fire Rate

Following that, we have the Dravec 45, which is undoubtedly the best SMG in multiplayer and still excellent in Zombies. While it deals less damage than the MPC-25, it has tremendous accuracy and above-average mobility and handling, which all come together to make this one of the best offerings in the game. And, of course, when Pack-a-Punched, its middling damage is suddenly no longer an issue.

Like with its multiplayer counterpart, the Dravec 45 does what it needs to do in the Zombies mode and does it to absolute perfection. You cannot go wrong with this weapon, and slapping attachments on it will only make it that much better. If you want an SMG that excels at close to mid-ranges, maintains solid mobility, and can scale its damage to be competent in the later rounds, this is for you!

Carbon 57

Pros

Cons

  • Hefty Magazine Capacity
  • Rapid Rate Of Fire
  • Excellent Pack-a-Punch Scalability
  • Poor Mobility And Handling
  • Relies Heavily On Attachments

Coming in as our favorite SMG in Zombies is a surprising one, as we ranked the Carbon 57 considerably lower for the multiplayer mode. But, for this one, it shoots above everything else and is easily the best choice due to its massive 50-round magazine and rapid rate of fire. Its mobility and handling are the worst of the bunch, BUT it can be brought up to par with some of the other options with the right attachments.

While we would have preferred this weapon to have better mobility out of the gate, there’s no denying that its magazine capacity and high rate of fire make up for it in this mode. Not only that, but the Carbon 57 becomes a demon when Pack-a-Punched and can eliminate large throngs of Zombies in the blink of an eye. We’re typically against the overuse of attachments to make a weapon viable, but we’re making an exception for this one. Do not underestimate it!
