In Arc Raiders, there are a ton of random materials you will come across during your journey. While most have a purpose right away, some take several months to actually be worth extracting with.
One of these is the Rusted Bolts, which is an uncommon material you will need if you want to complete the first stage of the Trophy Display. Thankfully, there are a few places you can look to nab this item so you can complete this project.
Where To Find Rusted Bolts
Classified as both an Industrial and Mechanical material, Rusted Bolts have a higher chance of spawning in any location designated with this type of loot. However, there are some locations that I had much greater success with finding them in my testing, and these are the spots I recommend you hit first if you’re farming them. The locations are:
- Vehicle Maintenance and Container Storage in Spaceport
- Power Generation Complex in Dam Battlegrounds
- Loading Bay in Stella Montis
Of these locations, I have had the most success on Spaceport. Specifically, Vehicle Maintenance due to the nice volume of breachable containers, lockers, and small bins in shipping containers, you can loot. Those little bins in the shipping containers had the best chances of them appearing in my testing, but this point of interest in general is a great first stop if you’re hunting for Rusted Bolts.
Alternatively, Container Storage is another great place if the breachable room on the top floor isn’t hit. That room has a ton of bins and drawers you can rummage through to find Rusted Bolts. That being said, this location is a pretty hot place for PvP if you’re not playing solo, so be aware that you may need to fight if you venture to Container Storage.
On Dam Battlegrounds you have a few options, but I like Power Generation Complex due to both its size and density of lootable metal containers. These often contain Rusted Bolts, which makes this northern region the place to look on this map. Hone your search on the underground eastern side of Power Generation Complex, as there’s a hallway outside the control room with a great grouping of these metal boxes you can breach.
Water Treatment Control is also a decent spot to loot, however, unless you spawn right by it, there’s a good chance it’ll be picked over. Plus, outside the western room, there aren’t a ton of spots you’ll actually find Rusted Bolts. That being said, if you spawn far away from Power Generation Complex, this region is an okay substitution and worth at least checking out before you extract.
Stella Montis is another surprisingly consistent map for finding Rusted Bolts. Largely concentrated in the Loading Bay, there are a ton of different shipping containers across the various floors that players can loot. These bins along the side of the open containers have a decent chance of spawning Rusted Bolts, and there are usually around two or three bins per container.
You will want to check all the floors, but just be mindful of the Bastion and Shredder roaming the lowest level! If they aren’t destroyed, I suggest only checking the second and third floors of the Loading Bay before moving on.
Unfortunately, there is no way currently in Arc Raiders to craft or outright buy Rusted Bolts. You will very much need to find them the old-fashioned way. Thankfully, you only need three Rusted Bolts, and you can commit them to the Trophy Display the moment you extract with this material. This ensures you won’t clog up your precious inventory space while you’re trying to find any remaining Rusted Bolts!
