Arknights: Endfield has a variety of characters, called Operators, which cover many of the game’s combat roles, like damage dealer, supporter, debuffer, healer, and so on. As the game grows, we’ll see more characters and more roles that they can play.
However, early in the game, your options are limited, as you don’t have Headhunting currency stocked up, and the number of Operators you have at your disposal is restricted. That said, there are still several strong characters that are suited to beginners, which we’ll take a look at below.
Endministrator
The Endministrator is the first 6-Star Operator you’ll get for free, and, as expected of the game’s protagonist, can fit effortlessly into several early-game teams. The Endministrator has a simple but effective kit that primarily focuses on physical damage and physical status.
This lets the Endministrator function as a primary physical damage dealer, or a secondary support damage dealer. Their easy-to-activate combo skill lets them shine on teams alongside other physical Operators like Chen, Pogranichnik, Lifeng, and Alesh.

We cover the best build, gear sets, weapons, and team set ups for the Endministrator in Arknights: Endfield.
Ardelia
Ardelia is another 6-Star Operator you’ll get for free early in the game, from the Awakening Sign-In event. Ardelia is a powerful support Operator who can sustain your team’s health while debuffing the enemy.
Ardelia uses the Nature element and inflicts Corrosion with her skill, but she can also consume Corrosion to instead inflict Physical Susceptibility and Arts Susceptibility, making her extremely versatile. This means you can really slot her into any early game team that needs healing.
Through the Awakening Sign-In event, you’ll also get the Dreams of the Starry Beach weapon, which perfectly aligns with Ardelia’s healing and debuffing capabilities.
Perlica
Perlica is a 5-Star Arts Unit-wielding Electric Operator who can easily fit into any Arts-based early game teams. Her Combo Skill inflicts Electrification and triggers when the controlled Operator performs a Final Strike, making it incredibly easy to get value out of her kit.
Electrification causes the enemy to take more Arts damage from all sources. In Electric-focused teams, Perlica is even stronger, applying Electric Infliction with her Skill, which can then be used to trigger more Electrification, or consumed by characters like Arclight to gain more SP.
Overall, Perlica is an extremely versatile buffer and supporting damage dealer, and you get her for free early in the story.
Chen Qianyu
Like Perlica, Chen is a 5-Star Operator you get right near the start of the story. While Chen may not be as versatile as Perlica, she does provide substantial physical damage, and can carry physical damage teams through the story and beyond.
Chen specializes in inflicting Vulnerable and Lift while working alongside supporting damage dealers like the Endministrator or Pogranichnik, both of which can consume the Vulnerable stacks she applies for added effects and even more damage.
Xaihi
Xaihi is a 5-Star Supporter Operator who can not only apply potent Cryo Amp buffs to her team, but also heal the controlled Operator with her Skill. If that Operator is at full health, they’ll also be given an Arts Amp buff.
Xaihi excels in Cryo and Nature Arts-based Teams, especially when paired with the 6-Star damage dealer Last Rite, who can take full advantage of Xaihi’s buffs and debuffs.
Arclight
Arclight is a 5-Star Vanguard Operator. The Vanguard class specializes in generating SP for the team, allowing them to use their Skills more often, and Arclight is currently one of the best Vanguards, especially in Electric-focused teams, working alongside Perlica, Avywenna, and Antal.
Since Perlica is free and Antal is only 4-Star, getting this team set up is fairly easy early in the game, and provides tons of fun and powerful synergies to work around.
Antal
Antal is another extremely versatile Operator, and he’s only 4-Star, meaning you’re sure to not only get him very early on, but you’ll be able to max out his Potential rather easily as well.
What makes Antal so strong is his ability to work with Electric and Heat Operators, meaning he fits perfectly in teams working around either element. His Ultimate applies Electric Amp and Heat Amp to the whole team, greatly boosting their damage.
This lets him fit into two of the strongest teams in the game: Laevatain’s Heat team or Avywenna’s Electric team.
Avywenna
Avywenna is a 5-Star Electric damage dealer who pairs well with many of the aforementioned Operators. When making your first team, Physical and Electric are definitely the easiest to build around due to the availability of Operators, and Avywenna is the star of the Electric-focused team.
Even without the most optimal equipment setup, as long as you have Operators like Antal, Perlica, Arclight, or Akekuri, you can build an extremely strong Electric team that will take you through the story and let you save up resources for future Limited Operators.
