There are a lot of weapons in the Monster Hunter series, and while only six of them made their way into Monster Hunter Stories 3, it thankfully brought over one of the most unique, the Hunting Horn.

After a return in Monster Hunter Wilds, Blangonga appears again in the Serathis region of Stories, along with a pack of Blangos. After defeat, you gain access to its assortment of weapons, which reflect its fury well.
The Dodotto Horn deals up to 150 Ice damage, alongside a powerful 35 Wyvernfell and a single Decoration slot. Its Melodies help enhance this even further, increase our Ice damage and that dealt to individual monster parts.

After first appearing in Sunbreak and quickly falling to the wayside, Garangolm gets to shine once again here as an absolute tank of a monster, and its weapons reflect that tremendously.
The Golm Drum deals 148 Normal damage, as well as 35 Wyvernfell. However, it also comes with three Decoration slots, and an extra 10 Defense. Its Melodiesbring this even further, letting you max out your elemental resistances to everything.
Bariguiro – Barioth

Barioth is basically a snowy Tigrex, terrifyingly fast and razor sharp, and you can gain access to those qualities after beating it in the wild once it’s been reintroduced to the habitat of your choosing.
The Bariguiro deals up to 150 Ice damage, and while it only has a single Decoration slot and a low 15 Wyvernfell stat, it makes up for it with a 15% Crit Rate, as well as the Graceful Melody, letting you and your allies all dodge a single attack without fail. This is great to have stocked up to use at the right moment.
Striped Dragonga – Tigrex

Tigrex is, as described above, a fearsom monster, one that can put you don with ease with its powerful attacks, A key part of the monster its its speed, which its Hunting Horn offers to you once you get it.
The Striped Dragonga comes with 154 Normal damage at the max level, as well as a wonderful 35 Wyvernfell stat, though only a single Decoration slot. The Fleet Melody, however, brings your Speed to the max, letting you outpace everything in the game.

After a starring role in Monster Hunter Rise, Magnamalo returns with a vengeance, hellfire in tow that acts as Blastblight in this game. After beating them in Serathis, you gain access to some immensely powerful weapons.
The Sinister Strum deals up to 160 Normal damage and has 25 Wyvernfell, but also effectively builds up Blastblight on enemies, and has three Decoration slots. Add to that the Mighty Melody, and you’re a powerhouse that hits hard and can’t be hit in return.
Veldian Sibilus – Arkveld

- Increases damage dealt by Synchro Rush
Building off what made Arkveld so unique in Monster Hunter Wilds, in Stories they have a Wyvernsoul Gauge that fills as you attack them, and weapons that before your input.
The Veldian Sibilus deals great damage, with 170 Dragon damage, 25 Wyvernfell, and three Decoration slots. It also has the unique Fettered Melody, increasing the damage dealt by Synchro attacks. Teamwork!
Azure Elder Horn – Wind Serpent Ibushi

Ibushi and Narwa are fought as a pair, making them absurdly difficult to beat, though the rewards make the struggle worthwhile. The pair grant you access to some of the strongest weapons in the game, with most of them from Ibushi.
The Azure Elder Horn is one such weapon. It deals 178 Dragon damage, though only 15 Wyvernfell with only a single Decoration slot. That said, it also comes with the Welcoming Melody, letting you easly fill the Kinship Gauge for powerful attacks.
Spirit Dragonwood Horn – Yama Tsukami

Four Note Melody – Demonic Melody
- Increases damage dealt to Elder Dragons
After your initial fight with Yama Tsukami in the Dragonreach Mountains, they can appear again in Tarkuan, cured of the crystal blight that had previously afflicted them. And this time, they come with a host of new weapons.
The Spirit Dragonwood Horn comes with 170 Normal damage, an 25 Wyvernfell, though not a single Decoration slot. Uniquely, it is one of the only Hunting Horns to inflict Paralysis, and also specifically lets you deal more damage to Elder Dragons.

After stealing the show (and your lifeforce) in Sunbreak, Malzeno returns as the sole Elder Dragon that roams the world in Stories. And not only are the one of the strongest Monsties, they offer up some of the best weapons, too.
Duke’s Grail deals 174 Dragon damage, 15 Wyvernfell, and comes with two Decoration slots. Its real highlight is the Blood Moon Melody. This is a light form of Blood Rite, letting you drain HP with your attacks. You don’t get the damage bonus, but you don’t lose HP either.

Despite being one of the most powerful Elder Dragons in any mainline game they appear, Velkhana is very manageable here. And that’s great, because it makes it much easier to gain the powerful weapons it offers.
Icespiel comes with 174 Ice damage, 25 Wyvernfell, two Decoration slots, and the unique Frozen Melody. This activates Power Charge in any turn you don’t perform an attack, letting you buff with items while also making your next attack more powerful.
