As long as she’s in play, the first character you play each turn will cost one less ink. It’s worth a few spots to help get our characters for less, and it stays on board as long as you can protect it.

Bambi’s ability Come See! is a great way to replenish your hand in Amber. Since the Boost requires 2 ink to do, it’ll be harder to pull off unless you can Boost cards for free. A good turn can get you two or three characters in hand while also questing for lore.

Replacing Rapunzel from The First Chapter, you trade off losing a body on board, but the cap for healing is removed, and Amber gets to heal and draw cards again. A win-win situation.

There’s a ton of opportunity with this card to quest for a game changing amount. With his Boost costing only 1 ink to do, you can stack cards underneath Genie and quest in for a large amount when needed.

With an easy way to become Evasive, Tinker Bell ends up being a 3/3 Evasive character that can quest for up to four lore if you have enough cards in hand.

The potential for easy setups to quest for up to six lore in the early game is great with this card. There are several easy options for increasing a character’s Strength, and exploiting her Rigorous Training ability can get you a lot of lore quickly.

With Ward protecting her, the ability A Mother’s Love lets you get a free Boost off and lets you draw a card. Ward, card draw, and free Boost on play, all in a single card makes Minnie a great addition.

There’s finally an option to banish all locations, and doing so even nets you a card in the process. A great Emerald card that might be a bit niche, but is a great option to have.

The best part about this card is the ability to exert a character that’s 3 Strength or less. There are so many characters that meet this criteria that shifting her in at the right moment can help you control the board. Moving her to a location can get her to quest for more, too.

The ability to banish any character, with only needing to sacrifice a three-cost character, is a good deal. Otherwise, you can quest while you can survive for a decent two lore. Banishing a much higher cost character makes the trade that much sweeter.

A blanket +5 Strength to a chosen character is a great option. The fact that it’s a song means you can save your ink to make this happen. There’s a lot of combo potential here that’s worth looking into.

This brand new ability introduced into the game turns the inking phase into something completely different. You no longer need to drop your hand size to ink cards when you can instead pull them from your discard.

While the stats are slightly low, placing every card that’s banished into your inkwell is a great, easy way to ramp, especially if you’re preparing for a board wipe. Even still, she can quest for two in the meantime.

Pete allows Sapphire players to scout through their deck for the perfect answer. With a relatively low Boost cost of just one, you can continually Boost him and pick up several cards when he quests to sift through as you go.

Sapphire removal just can’t be beat. Sure, you’re putting ink into your opponent’s inkwell, but you can do it while singing, and you get rid of a threat with ease. Welcome back to this familiar card.

Shifting in Scrooge early will make him even better, especially with a 4/6 stat line. Quests for two lore with that stat line is great, but you also get to Boost characters for free, and they all gain Ward when you do so. There’s nothing but good reasons to play Scrooge.

The best part of this Lilo is that she can avoid taking damage completely the first time she would. This includes any damage counters moved to her. She can keep safe for a bit on your opponent’s turn, and she’s a quick and easy way to quest early.

Between the Resist +2 and the ability to deal 2 damage when you discard a card, Angel is great for a setup card for emptying your hand in Steel while also dealing damage out.

While she’s a decent 3/3 stat line that quests for two, having Boost implemented means that when she quests, you can shut down your opponent from challenging for a turn. It’s great in a pinch and is still a good base card overall.
