Streets of Rage 4 was a collaboration between two studios, and one of them, Guard Crush Games, is on the verge of launching its next project, Absolum.
Coming to PS5 and PS4 on 9th October, publisher Dotemu has released a new gameplay trailer for this very promising-looking beat-‘em-up, and it gives us a great look at what to expect:
Absolum is a fantasy 2D brawler with multiple playable characters. You adventure through the land of Talamh, and the journey incorporates a roguelite structure, meaning it’ll be a little different each time you play through it.
As you progress, you’ll gain various buffs and abilities to bolster your character in all kinds of ways during the run. You will also be able to unlock permanent upgrades so you’re better equipped each time.
It’s looking pretty dang good in this trailer; the game combines Guard Crush’s gameplay and combat focus with the art and animation of Supamonks, and the result seems strong from where we’re sitting.
