Fate of the Old Republic is being pitched as the spiritual successor to the classic Knights of the Old Republic RPGs, with the director of those games and the Mass Effect trilogy, Casey Hudson, at the helm. It’s a single player RPG featuring “innovative storytelling, memorable characters, and heart-pounding combat”.
As part of the original reveal, Hudson said that while the project is still in “early development”, he looks “forward to embarking upon this journey together, sharing more of what we’re doing as soon as we can”. It’s far out, but not quite as far away as 2030, claims Hudson.
