After years of waiting, the future is looking pretty bright for Tomb Raider fans. Not only do we have a full-blown remake/reboot coming in Tomb Raider: The Legacy of Atlantis, but also a completely brand-new game called Tomb Raider: Catalyst, both of which are scheduled to launch in the next couple of years. It’s a truly great time to be a Croft fan, if Amazon sticks the landing and both games are actually great.

Not only that, but we also have a pretty big budget Tomb Raider TV show in the works too, one which was recently confirmed to star Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner as Lara Croft herself. It was a controversial casting at the time, with some pointing at her less than stellar performances in the X-Men films as proof she’s not a good fit for action.

Of course, there were plenty out there willing to give Turner a chance, and just over four months on from her original casting, we finally have our first look at what our next live-action Lara Croft will look like. Personally, I think she looks pretty spot on.

This first look was first revealed by Variety, and sees Turner dressed in Lara Croft’s more iconic attire. She has cargo shorts, a green blue top, round red sunglasses, and those dual pistols that are synonymous with classic Lara Croft. She looks the part pretty well, and it kind of implies that Amazon is going to go more “classic” Tomb Raider for its TV show, rather than something a bit more grounded and realistic than the 2018 Tomb Raider movie that starred Alicia Vikander.
