Skip the Pixel 10 for a True Flagship

Thinking about buying the Pixel 10a? You might want to reconsider. The flagship Pixel 10 has just hit a record-low price of $599 at Amazon and Best Buy. It offers more versatile cameras and faster processor.

If you are still deciding between the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10a, the current sale on the former might help you narrow your options. Google’s smaller flagship, the Pixel 10, is now on sale at Amazon and Best Buy, returning to a record-low price of $599 from its original $799.

This $200 saving (25%) makes it an incredible value. The deal applies to the unlocked Frost and Indigo colorways for the 128 GB base model. Alternatively, the Lemongrass and Obsidian options are also discounted to $649, which is still a significant saving of $150. However, if you want the full $200 reduction on all colors, the Google Store is offering the same savings across the board.

Why Skip the Google Pixel 10a for the Pixel 10?

The Google Pixel 10 is the most affordable flagship in the Pixel 10 lineup (review), but its launch price can still feel steep. Thankfully, this sale lowers the barrier to entry, making the device a highly competent alternative to the budget-focused Pixel 10a.

With the Pixel 10, you get a more premium aluminum build for both the frame and panels. The handset is semi-compact, making it more suitable for one-hand use and users with smaller hands. While it features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (similar to the Pixel 10a), it is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for better scratch resistance and integrates a superior ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath.

The Pixel 10’s cameras are also much closer to the premium Pro models. Thanks to major hardware upgrades, it now includes a dedicated 10 MP telephoto sensor that supports 5x zoom. It also features an enhanced 48 MP main shooter backed by OIS for stabilized shots, along with a familiar 13 MP ultrawide sensor. This setup offers versatile shooting capabilities for both stills and videos.

Moreover, the Pixel 10’s Tensor G5 chip is unlocked to its full potential. It offers flagship-level CPU and GPU performance, while the optimized Android OS keeps everything stable and smooth. You also get faster charging for both wired and wireless connections at 30 watts and 15 watts, respectively. Another nice addition is the inclusion of magnetic-ready Qi2 support.
