Konami has cancelled the physical release of the Silent Hill F soundtrack in the most vague terms possible.
The OST for the publisher’s recently released survival horror game, composed by Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage, was planned for release in December, via the Konami Style online store.
Unfortunately, due to “various circumstances”, both the CD and vinyl versions of the soundtrack will no longer be released.
Anyone who had pre-ordered either of these products will be refunded.
The soundtrack is currently only available as part of the Digital Deluxe content for Silent Hill F, which can be purchased separately.
With the physical OST being cancelled, it’s difficult to say whether the music will come to streaming services like Spotify in the future.
It’s a shame when things like this happen, especially when customers aren’t given a proper explanation. Hopefully, whatever issues are going on can be ironed out and the soundtrack can be released as planned.
