After weeks of rumors, we might finally have confirmation that Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming to Xbox Series X|S, along with a release date. This leak is more concrete than the ones to have come before it since it comes directly from the Xbox Store.
Silent Hill 2 Remake turned one at the end of October, and with that, the revival of the iconic sequel’s PS5 exclusivity came to an end. Those on other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2, got their hopes up that the remake would finally be available elsewhere. However, despite rampant rumors and leaks, the anniversary came and went with nothing even close to an official announcement regarding what might be coming next.
A New Silent Hill 2 Remake Leak Has Emerged, And It Comes Directly From The Source
Just as hype for a potential port was beginning to die down, a new leak has surfaced, and it comes from inside the house. True Achievements has discovered a store page for Silent Hill 2 Remake on the Xbox Store. The listing confirms that the remake will finally be available to buy and play on the platform from November 21, 2025, and that its deluxe edition will be coming to the platform along with it.
There’s also a listing for the Silent Hill 2 + Silent Hill f dual pack that has been restricted to PS5 so far due to the former’s exclusivity. The bundle is priced in such a way that it gets you the sequel’s remake for a heavy discount alongside the brand new Silent Hill experience, which has been available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S since launch.
Bad News For Those Waiting For DLC And A Switch 2 Port
Unfortunately, there has been no such leak for a Switch 2 version of Silent Hill 2 Remake, nor is there any mention of the original game’s Born From A Wish DLC in its Xbox Store listing. Most of the rumors suggesting Silent Hill 2 Remake will be coming to other platforms have been coupled with claims that Born From A Wish will be revealed as part of that same announcement, but that’s beginning to look less and less likely.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for those hoping the remake might get the additional content the original game received. Maria is at the center of Born From A Wish, and her actor noted, amid rumors of a remake for the DLC, that despite her requests, there were no plans to give it the same remake treatment as the base game. That said, the DLC may exist and she is simply bound by an NDA.
DLC or not, at least we know Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming to Xbox. Now, where’s that Switch 2 port?
