The Nintendo Switch 2 is a pretty powerful device, at least compared to its predecessor, the original Nintendo Switch. And as a result of its power, the hybrid console handheld has seen an uptick in marquee Triple-A releases, including last week’s highly-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem.
Requiem’s release also brought along the release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, AKA Resident Evil 8, to the console via a native Switch 2 version, along with all their respective DLCs and goodies. Together, the three modern Resident Evil games are also part of the Resident Evil Generation Pack, a $90 box set of all three games.
Considering that Requiem on its own is a $70 game, it’s a pretty massive deal. That said, if you want in on the Generation Pack, you’re going to want to act with some urgency as just 29 days, from the time of writing, remain before it is yanked off the shelves.
As first spotted on Reddit, the eShop states that sales for the bundle will cease on March 31. For the time being, the eShop is going to be your only place to get the Generation Pack, as the physical version of the modern trilogy is sold out.
Indeed, at Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop, the bundle is marked as “Sold Out” or “Unavailable.” That much tracks with what we’ve seen so far with Requiem in that its physical editions have been going in and out of stock at various retailers, with many still waiting for their copy to dispatch.

“You want to get ugly? Let’s get ugly,”
Which is to say, if the Generation Pack is something of interest, you’ll want to turn on stock alerts and routinely check your local stores to see if it returns. If digital is fine, then you’ll want to scoop it up before that March 31 cutoff.
This Wouldn’t Be The First Limited Switch Game
Of course, Switch fans are likely well aware of limited physical varieties. Perhaps most famously, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle, one that brought Galaxy, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine to the original Switch on one cartridge, was a limited physical and digital release.
Back then, the title released in September and you had through March to make a purchase. It has since never returned and physical copies are routinely sold for a high dollar. That still stands even after Galaxy and Galaxy 2 were bundled together.
However, unlike those titles, Biohazard, Village and Requiem will still be sold long after the March 31 cutoff. It’s just if you want some serious savings, as well as a neat box set in an era of limited physical releases, you best act now.

Requiem is the closest Capcom has ever come to capturing the paranoia of the original Resident Evil games.
