Puppy Bowl, Exorcist, Boys Go To Jupiter: What’s New to Watch on HBO Max the Week of February 6, 2026

HBO Max has an ever-growing selection of shows and movies from its partner networks, including HBO, Discovery, Food Network, and more. New content is added all the time, so here are my top choices for this weekend and the week beyond, plus everything new streaming below. We roll into Super Bowl week with Puppy Bowl counterprogramming, a very cool new animated movie, and more.

This Week on Max: PCMag’s Picks

Boys Go To Jupiter (Feb. 6)

HBO Max is one of the top streamers for boundary-pushing animation thanks to its Adult Swim connection, but new animated feature Boys Go To Jupiter still manages to come out of left field. In suburban Florida, teenage Billy 5000 works as a food delivery person, a job that brings him into connection with a wide variety of quirky characters. When a former classmate tells him about some weird science experiments, it starts a strange journey from the stars to the sewers and back.

  • Director: Julian Glander

  • Stars: Jack Corbett, Elsie Fisher, Sarah Sherman

  • Genre: Animation

  • IMDb Rating: 6.5/10

Puppy Bowl XXII (Feb. 8)

Yes, there’s a big game on Sunday the 8th that most people will be tuned in to, but set up a second screen and put HBO Max on for the Puppy Bowl. The 22nd annual canine competition fields 150 shelter dogs from 72 shelters, all up for adoption when the final whistle blows. This year is also getting rid of the pesky ageism of the event, as a team of senior dogs will take the field for the first time ever. Whether you root for Team Fluff or Team Ruff, it’s always a family-friendly good time.

  • Genre: Animal Sports Entertainment

  • Rating: TV-G

  • IMDb Rating: 6.0/10

The Pope’s Exorcist (Feb. 12)

No matter what you believe about demonic entities making their presence felt on Earth, there’s something compelling about an exorcism. Is it truly supernatural, or just the power of suggestion? 2023’s The Pope’s Exorcist boasts one of Russell Crowe’s best recent performances as the real-life Father Gabriele Amorth, who travels through Italy yeeting demons from the innocent. But when a dark force overtakes the Vatican itself, things really start to pop off.

  • Director: Julius Avery

  • Stars: Russell Crowe, Franco Nero, Alex Essoe

  • Genre: Horror

  • Rating: R

  • IMDb Rating: 6.1/10
